Sven-Goran Eriksson admits that it’s his “dream” to manage Liverpool one day in the future, while he has praised Jurgen Klopp for the impact he has had on the club.
The Swede’s most recent job was manager of the Philippines national side but he previously managed England, Manchester City, Mexico, Leicester City, Benfica, Roma and other big clubs around the world.
Despite managing numerous clubs and national teams in his career, Eriksson says that the Reds job was the one he really desired.

Speaking to Sky Sports (via HITC), Eriksson said: “You know I have always been a Liverpool supporter in all my life since I was four, five, six-years-old.
“Like my father, he is still a Liverpool supporter.
“So, that would be [my dream] to manage Liverpool, of course.
“But I had a second dream as well and that’s to be the manager of Brazil.”
Klopp won the Champions League in 2018/19 at Anfield, before guiding Liverpool to their first league title in 30 years in 2019/20.
On Klopp, Eriksson added: “I think the job he has done with Liverpool lately, and I am not talking about last season, but even the season before is great.
“The team is playing extremely good football. He makes them work very, very hard and you can see that in games. And they are winning titles.
“To take Liverpool to win again after how many years to win the Premier League, that’s great.
“I think he has made Liverpool into what they were once many years ago and I hope they stay there.”
Just about all of the greatest uncapped Premier League players ever were pursued by England. And only four of them were English.
