Klopp has ‘direct line’ with Mbappe; Liverpool ‘to fight’

Jurgen Klopp ‘wants to coach’ PSG star Kylian Mbappe, with Liverpool ‘ready to fight’ Real Madrid to land the Frenchman.

That’s according to Sport (via Sport Witness) who claim the Reds are primed to do battle with Real Madrid, who are ‘going to give everything’ to sign the World Cup winner.

The report claims Klopp has been tracking the progress of Mbappe since 2016, made an offer for him in 2017, and ‘wants to coach’ the 21-year-old with whom he has a ‘direct line’ of communication.

But so too does Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane, who has reportedly sanctioned a swap deal involving Vinicius Junior.

But even with the Brazilian included, Madrid would still likely have to stump up over £100million to tempt PSG into selling one of their top assets.

Money that both Madrid and Liverpool will struggle to find amid the financial constraints surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.

Zidane is said to have the advantage as he is Mbappe’s idol and the forward has always dreamed of playing for Los Blancos.

But Liverpool’s interest also ‘attracts’ Mbappe.

Just about all of the greatest uncapped Premier League players ever were pursued by England. And only four of them were English.
