After the announcement that Kevin Owens would be replacing Kofi Kingston at WWE Fastlane, his fellow New Day members Xavier Woods and Big E have responded.
Vince McMahon kickstarted tonight’s WWE SmackDown Live by revealing that Kofi Kingston would not be facing Daniel Bryan at WWE Fastlane for the WWE Championship because he wasn’t a box office draw, instead stating that Kevin Owens would be getting the shot.
This led to The New Day being visibly and audibly outraged and Xavier Woods and Big E took their frustrations to social media to continue the conversation.
Xavier Woods, who has stated for a long time that his career goal is to make Kofi the WWE Champion asked what else Kingston has to do to earn a shot? He noted that Kofi is a multi-time champion, has given 11 amazing years to WWE and pinned Daniel Bryan,stating that Kofi is more than good enough.
Big E also chimed in with his thoughts, which were straight to the point, stating that he doesn’t know why he’s surprised anymore.
