WWE SmackDown ratings down 11 percent for WM go-home show

Following last week’s 2019 high water mark, SmackDown ratings dropped 11 percent this week, averaging 2.141 million viewers on Tuesday night. It was the lowest audience total for the show since February 12.

The show finished ninth for the night in terms of total viewers on cable and in the usual second place spot in the 18-49 demo with a 0.71 rating, trailing only the 0.74 rating for Curse of Oak Island.

SmackDown retained 82 percent of the Raw audience from Monday. Other than last week, that’s been the normal level since the end of football season.

Year-over-year, SmackDown was down 13 percent from the 2018 WrestleMania go-home show.

The return of Miz and Mrs, which aired following SmackDown on the USA Network, averaged 997,000 viewers and a 0.41 rating in the 18-49 demo, good for seventh in the cable TV ratings. Those numbers were down 48 percent and 29 percent respectively from the season one premiere. The audience total was actually 20 percent lower than any episode from the first part of season one.
