WWE RAW Results (12/08/2014): Greensboro, North Carolina

Ryback & The Usos vs. Kane, The Miz & Damien Mizdow

We’re back from a commercial break and it’s time for six-man tag-team action. Out comes The Usos. We hear that Seth Green has joined Cole, Lawler and JBL on commentary.

Out next is Ryback, who makes his way to the ring to a huge pop from the fans in Greensboro. Finally, Kane and then the WWE Tag-Team Champions, The Miz and Damien Mizdow, make their way to the ring.

The action doesn’t last long, however. Kane and Ryback start things off and we head to a break. When we return from the break, Ryback ends up hitting his finisher and scoring the pin in what was a pretty short match.

After the match, RAW guest host Seth Green leaves the commentary table, enters the ring and joins The Usos and Ryback in their post-match celebration.

Slammy Awards: “Match of the Year”

Lilian Garcia introduces Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, who comes out to the Slammy podium to introduce the nominees for the “Match of the Year” award.

After Steamboat introduces the nominees and the videos finish airing, we are told how to vote once again and then we head to a commercial break.

We’re back from the break and we see Steamboat at the podium once again. It’s time to announce the “Match of the Year” winner in the Slammy Awards.

Steamboat reveals the winner, and it goes to the Team Cena vs. Team Authority match from the WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view. Dolph Ziggler comes out to accept the award. He thanks Steamboat and the fans, etc. Pretty basic speech.

AJ Lee vs. Summer Rae

AJ Lee skips her way down to the ring. We head to commercial. When we return, Summer Rae is in the ring. It’s time for one-on-one Divas action.

Early on, Summer Rae gets in a lot of offense. In fact, she pats AJ on the head straight out of the gate, as if she were a “good doggy.” Obviously, AJ didn’t appreciate that and fired up on offense.

In the end, after Summer got in some more offensve, Lee applies the Black Widow and the Total Divas star has no choice but to tap out. There were a lot of “CM Punk” chants during this one, as you would expect.

Slammy Awards: “Extreme Moment of the Year”

We go back to the podium at the top of the stage, as it’s time to announce the next Slammy Award. From there, Rob Van Dam’s music hits and out he comes in a suit.

Van Dam runs down the list of nominees for the “Extreme Moment of the Year” Slammy Award as the fans chant “R-V-D!” R-V-D!” We head to break, allownig the fans a chance to vote.

We’re back from the break and we return to Van Dam at the podium. He announces the winner of the award, and it goes to Chris Jericho for his cross-body off the top of the steel cage on Bray Wyatt on RAW. Jericho isn’t here tonight, so instead, Fandango and Rosa Mendes come to the ring.

Fandango mentions that in his debut match at WrestleMania, he beat Chris Jericho. He then says “you will never, eeeeever forget the name of, Faaaan-daaaan-goooo.” He and Rosa dance to the back.
