WWE Contract with Jim Ross Will Expire Soon

Jim Ross will see his WWE contract expire in March of 2019, according to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Ross signed a deal in 2017 that allowed him to call NJPW action on AXS TV because he had a pre-existing contract with that promotion. According to the report, WWE is preventing Ross from signing another contract with NJPW, meaning he won’t be on broadcasts for the first three months of 2019. That will mean Ross will not be on the call for Wrestle Kingdom 13.
Though WWE used Ross frequently in 2017, he has not had much work at all for WWE this year.
