India is creating world’s many firsts- including the world’s tallest statue- Statue of Unity, the country’s longest rail bridge- Bogibeel in Assam and now the world’s highest railway arch bridge which is being constructed in Kashmir.
The 359 metre high bridge which is being constructed over the Chenab river is a part of Indian Railways’ mega plan to connect Kashmir valley with Udhampur known as Jammu-Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Line, the India Today reported.
Reportedly, the bridge is being touted to be taller than France’s Eiffel Tower which stands at a height of 300 metres. The bridge will have railway stations at both the ends and the construction for the same is going on with full force.
