SJU’s Becker Earns NWCA All-America Honor

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John’s University senior Noah Becker (Browerville, Minn.) was named to the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) All-America first team on Wednesday, April 8.

In previous seasons, the NWCA awarded All-America honors to the top eight wrestlers in each weight class at the NCAA Championships. This year’s All-America honors were split into three teams, based on each wrestler’s overall body of work through the regional tournaments and up to the national meet.

Becker was set to make his second national tournament appearance as the No. 3 seed at the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships March 13-14, but his career came to an end after the NCAA’s canceled all winter and spring championships due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Becker ended the 2019-20 season with a 22-2 record and a second-place finish Feb. 28-29 at the NCAA Upper Midwest Regional.

He totaled a 93-27 career record, including a 49-6 mark over the last two seasons. The three-time NWCA Scholar All-American is a global business leadership major with a 3.35 GPA.
