Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Alexis Sanchez played in a behind-closed-doors friendly match for Manchester United last week and has given an update on his future.
A United side worth £130.8million featuring Sanchez, Juan Mata and Nemanja Matic won a behind closed doors friendly against Sheffield United at their Carrington training ground on Tuesday.
Inter Milan are interested in bringing the forward to San Siro, having already completed a move for United striker Romelu Lukaku earlier in the summer.
The Serie A outfit are reportedly hopeful of securing a season-long loan for the Chilean by this weekend, with an option to make the move permanent next summer.
And Solskjaer confirmed there have been negotiations over Sanchez‘s exit, he told reporters: “There are still talks with some clubs.
“But he played in that game and he played well. As I have said he is working well. Let’s see in September what is going to happen.”
United host Crystal Palace on Saturday hoping to continue their solid start to the season after victory against Chelsea on the opening weekend before a draw at Wolves on Monday night.
On whether there has been a change in team spirit from side which drew with Palace last year, Solskjaer added: “I didn’t watch the game last year, we had a game ourselves with Molde but I heard they had a few counter attacks.
“Wilf (Zaha) was close to scoring, team spirit great, we’ve got loads of energy and passion, you can see the way we went about the game at Wolves our pressing was excellent.
“We gave them five mins in the second half that was it really apart from that… the engine looks so much better, and everyone is fit, when you’re fit you’re mentally strong as well.”
