Minnesota State Wrestling Team Adds DeGidio to Recruiting Class

MANKATO, Minn. — Minnesota State wrestling head coach Jim Makovsky has announced the signing of Vito DeGidio.

“DeGidio comes from a program that we are very familiar with,” Makovsky said. “He’s had a great coach and his best years are ahead of him.”

A native of Bozeman, Mont., DeGidio (133 lbs.) finished in the top five in the state tournament over the last three seasons at Bozeman High School. He finished second in the state tournament during his sophomore and senior seasons, to go along with a fifth-place finish during his junior season. DeGidio has also excelled in the classroom, earning four academic all-state honors.

“He’s got great character,” Makovsky said. “He’s a great student and a hard worker and should be a major contributor for us down the road.”
