CLEVELAND — The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced the nominees for the class of 2019 on Tuesday. Def Leppard, Devo, Janet Jackson, John Prine, Kraftwerk, LL Cool J, MC5, Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, Roxy Music, Stevie Nicks, The Cure, Todd Rundgren, Rufus & Chaka Kahn, and The Zombies are all up for induction.
Several of the nominated groups have been up for induction before, including Raidohead, MC5, and The Zombies. However, Def Leppard, Devo, John Prine, Roxy Music, Stevie Nicks, and Todd Rundgren are all first-time nominees.
Rage Against the Machine and Radiohead both became Rock Hall eligible in 2018. They are both appearing on their second nomination ballot. Nicks was inducted as a member of Fleetwood Mac in 1998, but is not in the Hall as a solo artist.
Fans will be able to vote on who should be inducted.
As always, fans took to social media to share their opinions on this class of nominees. Some folks were pleased, some were…not.
