Whenever Swetha Shetty would talk about the socio-economic divide and other gender disparities between men and women, she was regularly advised and asked, “Why don’t you join politics?” “Why don’t you start a party?. Well, that’s what she finally did.
42-year-old Swetha Shetty launched the National Women’s Party in Delhi in December 2019 and it was recently launched in Mumbai. The party has been formed with a sole intention to provide platform to women in politics.
“Male chauvinism of political parties is no secret,” Dr Shetty said. “If women have a platform in politics where they don’t have to beg their male counterparts for a ticket, I think more women could join the field” she said in an interview with News18.Click Here: cheap rugby league jerseys
