Mark Henry Discusses His Current WWE Role, New RVD Documentary

There is simply no denying that Mark Henry is a legend in the wrestling business. For over two decades, Henry competed for WWE and received a ton of accolades. He won the World Heavyweight Championship and several other titles during his WWE career, and his contributions to the company were recognized with a WWE Hall of Fame induction in 2018. Henry has not appeared on WWE programming at all ever since he came out of retirement for the 50-man Royal Rumble match at the Greatest Royal Rumble event last year, but some fans may not know that he is still a member of the WWE family. “The World’s Strongest Man” himself discussed his current role with WWE in a recent interview with Sam Roberts.
During an appearance on the Notsam Wrestling podcast this week, Henry went into detail over his current behind the scenes position with WWE. Henry told Roberts that he is now a locker room enforcer for WWE. He mentioned that there have been issues in the locker room over the past few months, which have included arguments, talent arriving late, and others not cleaning up after themselves. Henry says that he will now be present at all the pay-per-views and will oversee the locker room areas for WWE events. Henry talked about past locker room leaders like Booker T, Big Show, and The Undertaker. According to Henry, there hasn’t been a true locker room leader like that in years but he is hoping to change that.
A brand new wrestling documentary is set to be released very soon. There have been plenty of great documentaries based on wrestlers over the years, but this new one will be focused on ECW legend and former WWE Champion Rob Van Dam. The film is called “Headstrong” and it will follow RVD as he travels around the country to embark on endeavors in stand-up comedy and pro wrestling. The film promises to give viewers an honest look into Van Dam’s life. The documentary will be officially released on February 19th on iTunes, Google Play, and VUDU.
