Springboks and Stormers flyhalf Manie Libbok has been voted as the United Rugby Championship (URC) Fans’ Player of the Season.
Libbok picks up the award after back-to-back man-of-the-match performances in the quarter and semi-finals to seal a spot in the URC final.
URC Fans’ Player of the Season
The 25-year-old finished last season as the top points-scorer and finished the 2022/23 regular campaign as the leading points-scorer with 167 from 16 appearances.
He added a further 18 points to that tally in the 33-21 victory over the Bulls in the quarter-finals, knocking over three conversions and four penalties without missing.

Goosen claims Golden Boot Award
Meanwhile, Bulls pivot Johan Goosen has picked up the Gilbert Golden Boot award.
The prize recognises the most accurate place-kicker in the competition, with all kickers who attempted a minimum of 30 ranked by their success percentage.
The URC StatMaster numbers – provided by Oval Insights – were crunched, and Goosen finished top of the tree with a 90% success rate, having kicked 36 out of 40.
Goosen edged teammate Chris Smith to the award, who was just behind on 89.09%, while Ospreys’ Gareth Anscombe, last season’s winner, had a 100% success rate from his 10 kicks but wasn’t eligible this time.
