Man Utd have made one final attempt to keep Angel Gomes at Old Trafford with his contract up at the end of the season, according to reports.
Gomes’ contract expires at the end of the season and has been able to open contract negotiations with European clubs since January.
The Daily Mail claimed in December that ‘unsettled’ teenager Gomes might be ‘open to a move away from Old Trafford’ with the situation described as ‘an awkward situation’ for a club so focused on youth development.

Barcelona were rumoured to be one potential destination for Gomes when his contract runs out but the Metro claimed in March that Chelsea are interested in the England under-20 international.
And now The Sun say that Man Utd ‘have made a last-ditch £30,000-a-week offer to Angel Gomes’ in an attempt to keep him out of Chelsea’s clutches.
The report adds: ‘It is understood the fresh terms are around £30,000-a-week PLUS additional bonuses for appearances, goals and trophies won.’
It is understood Gomes is ‘concerned’ by the Red Devils’ reported interest in Birmingham City youngster Jude Bellingham after being ‘left upset’ by missing out on a number of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squads despite a number of injury problems.
