Lesnar confirmed for Royal Rumble go-home episode of WWE Raw

Brock Lesnar has been confirmed for the Royal Rumble go-home edition of WWE Raw.

The Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma announced on their social media accounts today that Lesnar will be appearing on the last episode of Raw before the Royal Rumble. The episode is taking place at the Chesapeake Energy Arena on January 21.

Lesnar defending his Universal Championship against Braun Strowman is set for the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, which is being held at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona on January 27. Strowman defeated Baron Corbin at TLC to be set up as Lesnar’s next challenger, but Strowman didn’t get physically involved in the match against Corbin after undergoing elbow surgery.

Lesnar’s most recent appearance for WWE was at Survivor Series last month. He defeated WWE Champion Daniel Bryan in a non-title champion vs. champion match. Lesnar also appeared on the final episode of Raw before Survivor Series.

There are five episodes of Raw left before the Royal Rumble. Next Monday’s show has already been taped, and the New Year’s Eve episode will be taped in Detroit, Michigan on December 28. The other Raws before the Royal Rumble go-home show are in Orlando, Florida on January 7 and Memphis, Tennessee on January 14. Whether or not Lesnar will be appearing before the go-home show remains to be seen.

A segment with Paul Heyman appearing and building up Lesnar’s title defense against Strowman was taped for next Monday’s Raw.
