Frank Lampard has heaped praise on his ‘professional’ Chelsea side after their victory over Rennes in the Champions League.
Chelsea remained unbeaten in the Champions League after picking up a comfortable victory over Rennes on Wednesday night.
They were two goals ahead at the break thanks to two penalties from Timo Werner. In the aftermath of the second goal, Dalbert was sent off for Rennes after receiving a second yellow card.

Tammy Abraham added to their advantage in the second half, as the game finished 3-0 at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues remain top of Group E on goal difference, with them level on points with Sevilla. Chelsea have scored seven goals without conceding a goal in the Champions League so far.
Frank Lampard told BT Sport, as cited by BBC Sport, that he was pleased with Chelsea’s showing against Rennes:

“I think we deserved that. The red card and penalty to 2-0 makes it easier. We kept the ball moving early in the second half, there were professional elements to our performance today. They were tough opposition and we won pretty well.
“It was not an easy decision (on penalty taker) because Jorginho has been pretty faultless. He had missed two recently and Timo came in and scored. I had a word with Jorghino and his answer was perfect, he said he didn’t mind who came in to take them he just wanted to score. Timo came in and scored so I am happy.
“I am pleased I got some players to rest and pleased for some to get minutes. It ticked a lot of boxes for us.”
