— Former ECW owner Tod Gordon is retiring from the wrestling business. He helped run the Pro Wrestling Unplugged indy promotion out of Pennsylvania, but a person in his immediate family is gravely ill and he must devote all of his physical and financial resources to the person’s healthcare. — WWE’s official site has a graphic promoting the King of the Ring tournament on next week’s three-hour Raw. The eight wrestlers featured on the graphic include Chris Jericho, Umaga, Shawn Michaels, CM Punk, Batista, Big Show, Triple H and MVP. Although, the preview for the King of the Ring also notes Mr. Kennedy and Finlay, so the wrestlers featured in the graphic likely aren’t final.
— The newly launched WWE Kids Magazine was planning on including comic strips in the magazine, but the idea has been dropped. WWE hired ex-DC Comics editor Paul Kupperberg to be the Senior Editor of the magazine, but was fired for unknown reasons. According to Kupperberg, WWE believes that kids don’t read comics.
