According to Sunday’s Wrestling Observer Radio, there has been talk of turning Asuka heel and it could happen soon. “I can just tell you there’s been talk of her turning. We’ll see,” said Dave Meltzer.
Asuka has been noticeably absent from WWE television in recent weeks because there was no storyline in place for her and it’s tough to fit everyone on a 2-hour show every week. She is the latest victim of the crowded roster. She has been wrestling at live events and dark matches but it seems like her momentum has stalled since her streak was broken at WrestleMania and from her losses to Carmella.
Meltzer added, “I’ve heard that she might turn so maybe that will spruce her up. They actually do have plans for her so maybe everything will change. Since the WrestleMania match, she’s been booked real bad because she was in that Carmella feud that she had to lose and the way she lost just made her look terrible in both of those matches.”
