Impact Wrestling in conjunction with Lucha Underground recently held their Impact Wrestling vs Lucha Underground Event which took place in New Orleans, Louisiana. The event is highlighted by Pentagon Jr. (Pentagon OM) facing Austin Aries & Rey Fenix in a Tripe Threat Match. Below are the results from the show:
– Matanza Cueto (Jeff Cobb) def. Moose, Chavo Guerrero Jr., Matt Sydal, Jack Evans & Caleb Konley via pinfall following Wrath of the Gods on Konley. After the match, Chavo announced that Lucha Underground’s season four premiere is on June 13.
– Allie def. Taya Valkyrie via pinfall following a Codebreaker to retain the Knockouts Championship.
– Scott Steiner & Teddy Hart def. oVe (Dave & Jake Crist) via submission with a Steiner Recliner on Jake. Scott Steiner lived up to his nWo shirt and threw the referee out after his win, and Famous B was announced as Lee’s opponent, but of course he brought a client instead.
– King Cuerno, Drago & Aerostar def. Andrew Everett, Dezmond Xavier & DJZ via submission when Cuerno got Everett in a reverse Indian deathlock.
– Trevor Lee def. Marty The Moth via pinfall after a roll-up.
– LAX (Santana & Ortiz) def. Killshot (Shane Strickland) & The Mack via pinfall following Street Sweeper on Killshot to retain the Impact Tag Team Titles. Diamante returned to LAX.
– Brian Cage def. Eli Drake via pinfall following a spinning neck-breaker.
– Jeremiah Crane (Sami Callihan) def. Eddie Edwards in an “I Quit” match when Don Callis threw in the towel before Callihan could repeat the baseball/chair spot which fractured Eddie’s face. Edwards had Crane where he wanted him after a powerbomb to the guardrail, but oVe ran in, allowing Sami to knock him with from behind. Moose appeared after the match to keep the heels from attacking Callis & Eddie.
– Pentagon, Jr. (Penta 0M) def. Austin Aries & Fenix (Rey Fenix) in a Triple Threat Match via pinfall following a Pentagon Driver to Fenix. Alberto El Patron’s absence from what was supposed to be a tag main event wasn’t explained, but the crowd let everyone know what they thought. Pentagon & Fenix were announced for a match at Impact’s Redemption PPV Event on April 22.
