Germany Takes A Step Forward To Eliminate Air Pollution, Plans To Offer Free Public Transport

While half of the world wants to turn a blind eye towards climate change and rising level of air pollution that could lead to chronic respiratory diseases, Germany has taken a step further to combat the issue.

Germany could slash numbers of cars on roads by making public transport free, ministers have suggested, as Berlin scrambles to meet EU air pollution targets and avoid big fines.

“We are considering public transport free of charge in order to reduce the number of private cars,” Environment Minister Barbara Hendricks, Finance Minister Peter Altmaier and Agriculture Minister Christian Schmidt wrote in a letter to EU Environment Commissioner Karmenu Vella.Click Here: Aston Villa Shop
