— Les Thatcher said on his weekly audio show on www.f4wonline.com that he believes Tommy Dreamer will be appearing at tonight’s TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view in some fashion. An appearance by the former WWE star isn’t considered to be part of the big changes TNA president Dixie Carter has been teasing.
— TNA producer D-Lo Brown was sent to AAA’s recent TripleMania event in Mexico to scout wrestlers who can speak English. The former WWE star also talked to AAA officials about coming in to wrestle. Abyss, who worked the show, also said he’d like to work more dates for the Mexican based promotion.
— In the latest edition of The Monster Blog, Abyss discusses TNA’s eight-year anniversary, the promotion’s critics, tonight’s Slammiversary pay-per-view, the Gulf Oil spill and more.
Regarding those who criticize TNA, he wrote: “You see, as I’ve eluded to in past blogs, the “critics” all said back in 2002 when TNA was born, that TNA would not make it 6 months and we did. Then the “critics”, ironically the same “critics” who have never even competed in a wrestling ring of any kind, said that we wouldn’t make it 1 year and we did that too. And then the “critics”, most of whom hide behind the obscurity of the internet, said we would not make it 3 years and guess what??? WE DID.”
