Brock Lesnar to Enter 2020 Royal Rumble Match as WWE Champion

The “Beast Incarnate” returned to Monday Night Raw to kick off the first episode of 2020, and left a bombshell announcement in his wake.

As always, Brock Lesnar was flanked by his advocate Paul Heyman, who informed the WWE Universe that his client would be entering this year’s 30-Man Royal Rumble match – despite the fact that he is the current reigning, defending WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Heyman claimed that Lesnar will be giving an opportunity to ever single person who wanted to challenge him this year, because not only will he be a competitor in the Rumble match, but the “Beast” will be entering from the #1 position. That means no matter who it is – Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens – every man in the match will have to go through the champion.

Lesnar’s Rumble experience is limited, but he has managed to rack up 11 eliminations in just three total appearances. Of course, he also won the 2003 Royal Rumble match in his very first attempt, last eliminating The Undertaker within the first year of his WWE career.
