According to a live report at PWInsider.com, Dalton Castle announced at tonight’s ROH War of the Worlds event in Lowell, MA, that he would be unable to compete in the main event against Matt Taven due to injury.
Castle addressed the live crowd and said that he has been dealing with several different injuries since winning the ROH Title six months ago, and during a recent trip to the doctor’s office he was told his “back is garbage.” He was told his injuries would get worse if he did not take the time to fix them, and admitted that if he cannot be at his best in the ring then he does not belong in the ring.
Castle ended the announcement by making it clear he is not going to drop the title, but instead he is going to take the time he needs to fix his injuries, and get back to “kicking everyone’s ass” in ROH.
Dalton Castle teases relinquishing the ROH Championship after suffering injurys, only to declare he “will fix these problems quick”.

Dalton Castle vs. Matt Taven is off because Dalton has a back that needs surgery. So he and The Boys threw croissants to the crowd to make it up to them
