If India’s Election Commision has its way, political advertisements on Facebook will be blocked 48 hours before the polls, much like the election campaigns. The EC has asked Facebook to examine blocking of political advertisement during last 48-hours before elections in the country.

According to PTI, the social media giant hasn’t responded to the request yet, but is examining the possibility of it.
