New Delhi has often come under the scanner for its inefficient management of large piles of garbage waste. Large amounts of filth accumulating amid residential areas put citizens at risk of catching toxic diseases.
Despite Supreme Court’s disapproval of various methods being used to tackle the garbage mess in the capital, a lot of trash is being put to fire in the open areas of the ecologically sensitive, Aravalli hills.
A company named Ecogreen Energy is responsible for the collection of garbage from Gurugram and Faridabad regions in Haryana. Residents of adjoining areas have filed a complaint in the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Gurugram and have even written to Haryana state pollution control board, civic bodies of Gurugram as well as the forest department.
