Solskjaer cites two transfers as he calls on Man Utd to speed up

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer claims Manchester United have a “a plan” after admitting that the club left it too “late” to do deals in the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils are currently tenth in the Premier League standings and eight points off fourth-placed Chelsea, who occupy the final Champions League place.

United were held to a 2-2 draw to Aston Villa at home on Sunday and fans will no doubt be hoping the club can bring in reinforcements over the next couple of transfer windows.

Man Utd brought in Daniel James, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire in the summer with the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku leaving late in the window.

And Solskjaer admits that they left some deals too “late” in the summer and they won’t make the same mistake again next year.

Solskjaer said: “We do have a clear picture of what the squad is going to look like in June/July.

“Hopefully you get as much done as soon as possible.

“With Harry coming in, Romelu going out, it was late. We do have a plan now.”
