Starving Yemen Girl Who Turned World’s Eyes Towards Famine & Became Symbol Of Crisis Is Dead

The starving Yemen girl who drew the attention of the world towards famine and crisis as a result of the ongoing war has died. Amal Hussein, a 7-year-old Yemeni girl’s photograph in The New YorkTimes became a symbol of the country’s long-running conflict.

Amal died on October 26, according to the Times.
