Liverpool vs Everton Betting Tips: Mane could prove decisive for the Reds in a tight Merseyside derby

The Senegal international has been the go-to man for Klopp’s side this season, and Al Hain-Cole is backing him to break the Toffees’ resistance

With just one goal scored between them in the last three Merseyside derbies, Liverpool and Everton’s forwards could be set for a difficult match in Wednesday’s Premier League encounter.

Top scorer for Jurgen Klopp’s team with 12 goals in 18 matches in all competitions, Sadio Mane is 888Sport’s 4/1 (5.00) favourite to break the deadlock against the local rivals.

Considering he has found the net in four of his last six starts, 11/10 (2.10) anytime odds could prove the best goalscorer bet in a fixture that has not produced much goalmouth action of late.

Indeed, Mohamed Salah has been on target just once in that six-game period, so probably holds less appeal at that same 11/10 (2.10) price.

Divock Origi scored a bizarre injury-time winner in this fixture last year after coming off the bench and is 7/5 (2.40) to strike again here, although the Anfield cult hero is set to start as a substitute once again.

Having only scored four goals in 21 matches in all competitions this campaign, Roberto Firmino is also unlikely to attract too much attention at 6/4 (2.50) anytime odds.

It is even more difficult to pick out a compelling goalscorer for the Toffees, who have only struck four times in the last 10 meetings with their neighbours.

Even so, Richarlison could be worth a shot at 12/1 (13.00) first goalscorer odds considering he has his the net in three of his last five appearances, making 4/1 (5.00) anytime odds seem fairly generous.

The last of Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s three Premier League games for the season came six games ago at the end of October, but he is priced at 4/1 (5.00) to come up with the goods at the ideal moment on enemy territory.

Gylfi Sigurdsson scored his side’s last goal against Liverpool in a 2-1 FA Cup defeat back in January 2018, and is on offer at 5/1 (6.00) to end the wait for another one by getting on target at Anfield.

Boyhood Liverpool fan Theo Walcott is a 13/2 (7.50) shot to get on the scoresheet at Anfield for the first time in his career, whilst fellow ex-Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi can be backed at 7/1 (8.0).
