Delhi government-run schools have been at par with their private counterparts. From swanky classrooms to students toppers, these schools have improved beyond imagination. The 2018 CBSE Class XII results of the government schools is a testament to this fact.With a 90.68 pass percentage, these schools outperformed not only the private institutions (pass percentage 88.35 per cent) but also the overall pass percentage of 83.01 per cent. This was also the highest pass percentage for Delhi’s government schools in one decade.

When the new government of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) came to power in February 2015, it made a pledge to bring about far-reaching changes in the education and health sectors. That change is visible in the nearly 1,000 government schools in the city.
