As noted, WWE announcer David Otunga and his ex-fiancee, singer Jennifer Hudson, have been embroiled in a custody battle over their child, and yesterday Hudson alleged “abusive and harassing” behavior towards her from Otunga.
Yesterday, Hudson was granted a protective restraining order against Otunga, citing Otunga’s aggressive behavior, allegedly intimidating her with a gun, and adding she now lives in ‘fear of further action David might take” against her.
TMZ.com is now reporting a domestic battery misdemeanor investigation has been opened following an alleged dispute between Otunga and Hudson earlier this week.
Otunga has vehemently denied the accusations made toward him by Hudson, and issued a statement of his own via his attorney Tracy M. Rizzo. Below is an excerpt from the statement:
“David Otunga has been trying to negotiate the terms of an amicable parenting agreement with Ms. Hudson for several weeks now,” the statement read.
“However, when it became apparent to Ms. Hudson that Mr. Otunga would be the parent granted residential care of the child, as a result of Mr. Otunga being the child’s primary caregiver while Ms. Hudson pursues her career all over the world, Ms. Hudson decided to file a meritless Petition for Order of Protection in an effort to gain an unfair advantage in the custody dispute.
As we reported yesterday evening, as a result of the current situation between David Otunga and Jennifer Hudson, Otunga will not be present at this weekend’s WWE Survivor Series PPV.
