Latest News on Kurt Angle’s WWE Status, Future Advertised Dates & Potential Plans for His In-Ring Return

In case you missed it, Kurt Angle was written off WWE television this Monday night by Stephanie McMahon, who – in story – relieved the Raw General Manager of his duties. Constable Baron Corbin has been announced as his temporary replacement, and will assume the role of Acting General Manager for the foreseeable future.

As previously reported, the Hall of Famer is taking time away from TV in order to focus his attention on training to make his in-ring return. This is not the same situation as when Mick Foley was replaced as Raw GM, removed from television, and basically hasn’t been seen since. Whether Angle returns as an authority figure or a member of the roster for his final run remains to be seen, but it’s expected that he will be back before the end of 2018.

Angle’s last match (outside of the Greatest Royal Rumble) was a tag team bout with Ronda Rousey against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at WrestleMania 34. He is currently being advertised for WWE Raw at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on 11/19, but has been removed from all other dates on WWE.com.
