Woo! We are kicking off tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live with the Queen, Charlotte Flair, who enters to plenty of boos as we recap last night’s segment that saw Becky Lynch be suspended from WWE. Charlotte says the only thing more dangerous than ignorance is arrogance, and last night, Becky learned that.
Charlotte hopes that she is thinking more clearly today and that she hopes she is ready for WrestleMania, but she knows someone who is 100% healthy and would love to face Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania. Flair points to the WrestleMania sign, but just underneath that in the crowd… it’s BECKY LYNCH!
Despite being suspended, The Man is here, strutting her way to the ring as she tells Charlotte to stop boring the people to death. WWE officials make their way to the ring to try and escort Becky out of here… but now here comes The Game, and he doesn’t look pleased.
Triple H says that is enough and tells Becky she is not supposed to be here and tells her to go home and see the doctor, but also tells Charlotte it doesn’t concern her and tells her to get out as well. Triple H then goes back to Lynch and tells her to get cleared, but Lynch says she doesn’t trust him or any of the situation.
Becky then asks Triple H how Steph is and asks if he made sure she was medically cleared after she punched her in the face. Triple H says he has seen this a million times, he said he bought into The Man crap like everyone else, but the truth is, she is a self-destructor who is afraid of failure.
He says this is the reason she went looking for a way out before Survivor Series, and that she blamed the doctor, which is why now she is doing the exact same thing. Triple H then questions whether she is even injured at all and that she is scared that the doctor will tell her she can go to WrestleMania and that Ronda will expose her as a fraud.
Becky responds to Hunter’s speech by slapping him as they stare each other down and Lynch leaves the ring after attacking another member of The McMahon family.
THE GOOD BROTHERS vs SHINSUKE NAKAMURA & RUSEV
Time for the first piece of in-ring action for tonight’s show as the brand new alliance of Shinsuke Nakamura and Rusev take on The Good Brothers. Big LG starts the match hot, sending Rusev out of the ring before taking down Shinsuke Nakamura, but Karl Anderson doesn’t have the same luck as Nakamura takes control.
Rusev then tags himself in which frustrates Nakamura and the brief argument gives Anderson the time to go for a roll-up, which Nakamura stops. Gallows and Anderson then send both men out of the ring, with Anderson flying over the top ropes to take out both men.
We return from commercial and Nakamura is in complete control laying in several knee strikes, which he follows up with a reverse exploder, however, Anderson does a great job of reversing Nakamura’s Kinshasa attempt with a Spinebuster.
Anderson finally makes the hot tag and Luke Gallows enters to run down Rusev and then plants Nakamura with a sit out powerbomb, but both Gallows and Rusev then attempt the exact same thing with a clothesline. On the outside, Lana then tries to get Nakamura up for a tag as The Good Brothers attempt the Magic Killer, but Nakamura manages to stop them.
Shinsuke then hits the Kinshasa to Gallows as Rusev nails a Machka Kick to Anderson to pick up a win for the brand new team.
Winners: Rusev & Shinsuke Nakamura
