WWE NXT ratings up for Kross vs. Gargano title match

Last night’s NXT averaged 705,000 viewers on the USA Network, up 7.8 percent from the previous week’s Great American Bash episode.

It’s the best viewership for NXT since May 4.

The episode was headlined by Karrion Kross defending his NXT Championship against Johnny Gargano, with Samoa Joe serving as the special guest referee for the match.

In the 18-49 demo, NXT drew a 0.19 rating, up 5.6 percent from last week. NXT averaged 245,000 viewers in 18-49 last night. That’s up from the 232,000 viewers it averaged in the category last week.

This tied NXT’s highest rating in the 18-49 demo since the April 27 episode, when it did a 0.22. The number was driven by the male audience, with last night’s episode up 10.6 percent with men 18-49. The show was down 0.4 percent with women 18-49.

Last night’s NXT went against the MLB All-Star Game, which averaged 8.237 million viewers on Fox.

Year-over-year, NXT was up 11.7 percent in viewership as compared to this week last year. It was up 35.7 percent in the 18-49 demo.
