Arsenal youngster Zech Medley is set to leave the club following five years in north London despite Mikel Arteta’s attempts to keep the defender.
Medley is looking to play regular first-team football, which is not something that Arteta can offer the 20-year-old.
He is poised to join Belgian outfit K.V. Oostende on a permanent transfer reports football.london.

The centre-back spent the 2020-21 season on loan at Kilmarnock and Gillingham, and is expected to make the move to Belgium in the coming days.
It is understood that Arteta was keen on keeping Medley, but he has decided to seek a new challenge abroad in order to get more playing time.

Medley joined the Gunners from Chelsea in 2016 and has been a common fixture in their under 23s side.
He made his first-team debut in the 2018-19 season against Vorskla Poltava in the Europa League.
Making three appearances in total for the first-team, Medley is set to move on.
Elsewhere, Arsenal are very keen to bring England international Ben White to the Emirates.
The Gunners reportedly bid £40million for the centre-back, but Brighton rejected the offer.
White made his Premier League debut with Brighton this term and he shone for them. He made 39 appearances for the Seagulls across all competitions.
Graham Potter’s side only conceded 46 goals this season. This is the joint-best (alongside Aston Villa) out of any bottom half side in 2020/21.
Sky Sports say that talks are “ongoing” between both clubs. Arsenal are expected to go back in with a second offer for White.
Earlier this month, White’s Brighton teammate – Adam Lallana – praised the defender for stepping up for “bigger” games:
“In any case, having played alongside Ben at Brighton & Hove Albion this season, I can vouch that he is a player who steps up the bigger the game.
“He is someone who looks even more comfortable when in the company of the best players.
“His physique is something that he has worked on throughout this season. At 6ft, perhaps there were question marks over his size as a centre half, but those have been dispelled.
“The fact that he has also played right-back this season illustrates his versatility and that will be the main reason why [Gareth] Southgate has called him into the squad after the injury to Trent Alexander-Arnold.”
