Jim Ross announced Sunday he is closing his barbecue restaurant, “J.R.’s Family Bar-B-Q,” in Norman, Oklahoma. He will, however, continue to sell barbecue products online and in select grocery stores.
“At the end of the day, our business plan could not handle the shift in the economy or the rising overhead that we encountered,” Ross wrote. “We make no excuses…
“In the upcoming weeks, my professional schedule is likely to change significantly. I’ve realized that there is only so much that I can pile on my plate so perhaps this unfortunate turn of events is a blessing in disguise.”
Ross had at one point planned to franchise his restaurant nationwide, but it never came to be. He closed his restaurant in Moore, Oklahoma a while back.
