– WWE Champion The Rock is being advertised for the WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view, which takes place on May 19th from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri. The WWE Facebook page posted on Thursday:
WWE returns to St. Louis on Sunday, May 19 at 6:30pm when EXTREME RULES is broadcast to the world from St. Louis’ Scottrade Center for the first time ever! See WWE Champion The Rock, John Cena, CM Punk, St. Louis’ own Randy Orton, The Celtic Warrior Sheamus and many more! Get your tickets using the password EXTREME starting tomorrow at 10:00am!
This is an unexpected move, as The Rock will be taking time off from WWE after WrestleMania 29 to begin filming the movie “Hercules” overseas. The Rock’s movie “Fast 6” opens the following Friday on May 24th, so it’s possible WWE will be doing a promotional tie-in for the movie release.
– Speaking of Hercules, Norwegian actor Aksel Hennie has signed on for the film.
– Here’s video of The Rock promoting his new movie “Snitch,” which hits theaters tomorrow:
