Everton will reportedly offer Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira an 18-month contract during the January transfer window.
The 33-year-old’s contract in Turin will expire in June, meaning he is free to talk with the Toffees about a move.
And it looks like Everton are now willing to act on their reported interest.

According to the Daily Express, Everton will offer Khedira an 18-month contract in the coming weeks.
The report also states that the deal will have an option of a further year.
He is already thought to have travelled to England and held talks with the club about a Premier League move.
Juve officials are hoping the deal will go through to improve their financial situation.
Khedira currently earns a massive £184,000 a week in Turin, meaning a transfer is ideal for the Italian side.
It does mean that the midfielder will need to take a pay cut, however. Everton are unlikely to offer him any more than £100,000 a week due to his age.
The news means Carlo Ancelotti’s side are frontrunners to sign Khedira this month, beating the likes of Spurs and West Ham to his signature.
He was linked with Spurs back in November after revealing his admiration for manager Jose Mourinho. The World Cup winner said he would ‘never say no’ to a reunion with Mourinho.
Khedira also has a close relationship with Ancelotti which is helping to push the move closer. He played under the Italian at Real Madrid between 2013 and 2015.
It’s thought that Ancelotti’s aim is to bring more Champions League experience into the Everton squad. He achieved that during the summer as both James Rodriguez and Allan joined.
Those transfers have proved to be successful when the players are fit. That means Everton chiefs are willing to listen to Ancelotti once again.
Khedira could seal a move to Goodison Park this transfer window, while forward Cenk Tosun is expected to exit the club.
