The storyline after Monday’s RAW angle was that Dolph Ziggler was “rushed to a local hospital” after suffering a “throat injury” during the attack he suffered at the hands of Rusev.
Today, WWE has updated their official statement on Ziggler and noted that he is “out of action indefinitely” and is suffering from a “severely bruised trachea.”
WWE’s statement now reads: “Further evaluation by medical staff revealed that Ziggler is suffering from a severely bruised trachea. He was released from the hospital Tuesday afternoon after being monitored overnight to make sure his windpipe didn’t close. He is having issues talking and swallowing and will be out indefinitely.”
