Pete Dunne & Noam Dar Return to ICW, Hell in a Cell PPV Announced

For the first time ever in the Insane Championship Wrestling promotion over in the UK, the WWE United Kingdom Championship was put on the line. “The Bruiserweight” Pete Dunne wrestled a match against Trent Seven, Wolfgang, and BT Gunn, and of course, he managed to retain his championship. WWE themselves acknowledged the independent show on social media and on their website, they even took the time to promote ICW’s on-demand service. Not long after the match concluded, “The Bruiserweight” Pete Dunne decided to remind everybody that “ICW is one of the top promotions in the world, and I own it now … just like I own WWE.”
That wasn’t the only enormous match to take place at the ICW event. Shug’s Hoose Party 4, the name of the ICW show, also featured the return of WWE Superstar Noam Dar. Dar was signed to WWE following his performance in the Cruiserweight Classic, and he has been working on Raw and 205 Live ever since. Before that though, Noam Dar was one of the most beloved figures in the history of ICW. “The Scottish Supernova” teamed up with Sha Samuels in a match. WWE does not let their contracted talent work for other promotions very often at all. This just shows that WWE and ICW have a strong working relationship, and ICW content is still rumored to be joining the WWE Network at some point in the future.
New details have also emerged regarding WWE’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. The annual event is going to be taking place on October 8th this year. This will be the ninth edition of the pay-per-view, with the first edition of Hell in a Cell taking place in 2009. The date was announced during WWE’s recent final live event from the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan. The company announced that the show will be emanating from the Little Caesars Arena, the facility that will be replacing “The Joe” later this year. Unlike last year’s show which featured superstars from Raw, this show was advertised as a Smackdown event.
