Cesaro Makes Surprise Appearance at NXT Orlando Live Event; Reunites the Kings of Wrestling (Videos)

NXT Superstar Kassius Ohno celebrated an impressive 20 years in the pro wrestling business this Friday night, competing against Adam Cole in the main event of an NXT Live event in Orlando, FL.

While Ohno scored the victory via disqualification, the real story came after the match. In a surprise treat for the fans in attendance, Smackdown Live star Cesaro made a special one-time appearance, joining forces with his old friend and tag team partner to chase off the Undisputed Era.

Ohno (formerly Chris Hero) and Cesaro (formerly Claudio Castagnoli) dominated the independent scene for many years together, collectively known as the Kings of Wrestling. The duo found success in virtually every indie promotion that mattered during the 2000s, including multiple runs as ROH World Tag Team Champions.

Tonight’s WWE Raw Preview: Super Show-Down Go Home Show, Ronda Rousey In Action, More

Tonight’s episode of WWE Raw will be the go home show for Saturday’s Super Show-Down event which will also see Ronda Rousey in singles action.

Prior to the six-woman tag team match in Australia, Raw Women’s Champion, Ronda Rousey will be in singles action against Ruby Riott.

The only other confirmed match so far is Bobby Lashley facing Kevin Owens in singles action before their tag team match at Super Show-Down.

As well as that, WWE Hall Of Famer, Shawn Michaels will be returning to Raw to help promote Saturday’s show as the storyline between The Undertaker and Triple H continues.

As always, ProWrestling.com will be presenting complete, LIVE coverage of WWE Raw beginning tonight at 8pm EST, so be sure to join us then!

Local Ad Spoils Yet Another Money In The Bank Ladder Match

As previously reported, a local advertisement may have recently spoiled the participants in the upcoming Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. And now, another round of local advertisements may have prematurely spoiled the Superstars participating in the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

A graphic making its way around the internet this weekend, which matches the rest of the advertising and the branding for the event, features the following names:

Of course, take this with a grain of salt because there are still several weeks remaining until the May 19th WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view in Hartford, CT and as always, the card is subject to change.

One thing definitely worth pointing out is that if these images were sent to advertisers shortly after WrestleMania, the unexpected uncertainty of Sasha Banks and some of the moves in the Superstar Shake-Up likely wouldn’t have been calculated. They were at least issued recently enough that Nia Jax’s time off for double knee surgery were taken into account.

Impact Wrestling Announces Brand New ‘Impact Plus’ Streaming Service

Impact Wrestling has announced the launch of a brand new over-the-top streaming service called Impact Plus, arriving this coming Wednesday, May 1st.

While we are awaiting more information, it looks like this new Impact Plus service will completely rework the largely dismissed Global Wrestling Network app that Jeff Jarrett’s GFW promotion attempted to get off the ground during their merger with Impact Wrestling back in 2017.

Impact Plus will start with a free 30-day trial and is promising to feature “live monthly exclusive premium specials” as well as the libraries of Impact Wrestling, Impact Xplosion, classic pay-per-views, complications and collections, as well as special documentaries, wrestling from promotions all around the world, and more.

Spice Girls : Mel B avoue une relation avec Geri, la tournée en péril ?

Le grand retour des Spice Girls est-il menacé par les récentes révélations de Mel B ? Lack of engine data could impact Alpine in 2022 – Budkowski

Alpine executive director Marcin Budkowski says the team’s status as Renault’s single engine customer could impact the optimization of its power unit next season.

Manufacturers will be allowed to introduce new engines for 2022, but no development – save for reliability issues – will be authorized thereafter, with a freeze extending until the introduction of F1’s next generation power unit, earmarked for 2025.

Mercedes, Ferrari and Honda will continue to supply multiple teams next year, but Renault will rely solely on Alpine for engine data and will therefore collect significantly less information over the course of the season than its rivals.

The introduction of a new engine along with the design of an all-new car that will cater to F1’s new regulations presents a benefit insists Budkowski, but also a potential drawback.

“In our case with a new engine it’s beneficial but I think it applies to all the car systems in general,” Budkowski told The Race.

“The concern really is you come with a new engine, you come into an engine freeze, you still have the right to do changes for reliability reasons, so if we had a big reliability issue, we could still fix it.”

Budkowski stressed the importance of getting everything right at the outset next season, a requirement that should be facilitated by next year’s extended pre-season testing schedule which the Alpine boss sees as a crucial “de-risking” period.

“Obviously the engine freeze makes it more difficult to evolve something,” added Budkowski.

“So we are very focused on delivering the right package from the beginning of the season to be able to de-risk it as much as we can over the winter.

“You’ve got dynos [engine power measurers] for this. You can do some extensive testing. But nothing replaces bolting an engine in a car and getting it around a track.”

In related news, F4WOnline.com is reporting Ricochet might have suffered some type of injury at the Paris live event, at which he teamed with Johnny Gargano to defeat Tommaso Ciampa and Velveteen Dream. The F4WOnline live event report noted the following:

Ricochet looked like he hurt himself on the tope. He had trouble getting up and was helped to the back, but he came out again to celebrate with Gargano and seemed fine. They brought out a French flag and Ricochet draped himself in it to pose on the turnbuckle. This got big cheers, of course.

While Ricochet’s current injury status is unknown, it’s worth noting Ricochet was kept out of the ring at the NXT Antwerp event on Tuesday and did not compete in his scheduled event match.

Ricochet is currently scheduled to face Velveteen Dream in a singles match at WWE NXT Takeover Chicago taking place this Saturday night.

Tye Dillinger Shoots Down Reunion Idea, Tegan Nox Reflects On NXT Tour, Matt Hardy On The Bad Side Of Social Media

WWE SmacDown Live Superstar, Tye Dillinger took to Twitter to shoot down a reunion idea that a fan had suggested for him from his NXT days.

Someone asked the Perfect 10 if he would like to reunite with his old tag team partner, Jason Jordan, who Dillinger teamed with for a while on NXT and it’s clear that isn’t something he is looking to do with Dillinger simply stating, “no.”

Tegan Knox, f.k.a Nixon Newell posted several imaged on Instagram from the recent NXT tour of Europe from Download and France, claiming she had an amazing time touring with Dakota Kai.

Breaking News: WWE Super Show-Down PPV Coming to Australia; Undertaker vs Triple H Set to Headline

WWE has officially announced that for the first time in history, they will run a full pay-per-view event at The MCG in Melbourne, Australia.

WWE Super Show-Down will take place on Saturday, October 6th featuring the superstars of both Monday Night Raw and Smackdown Live, in what is being advertised as “the largest collection of WWE Superstars and Legends ever to appear in the country”.

One of the greatest rivalries in wrestling history will be renewed one more time, as a massive WrestleMania rematch has been confirmed for the show’s main event. The iconic Undertaker will take on the “King of Kings” Triple H for the final time ever, in what will be their first match together since the “End of an Era” Hell in a Cell match at WrestleMania 28. Also announced are John Cena, Ronda Rousey, Kurt Angle, Shawn Michaels, Big Show, and the entire full-time WWE roster from both brands.

The entire event will be broadcast live on the WWE Network, although a start time has not yet been revealed. If the show begins at 8PM live in Melbourne than we’re looking at a 6AM ET/3AM PT start in the United States.

WWE will looking to be doing massive numbers in Australia, as the Melbourne Cricket Ground can seat well over 100,000 fans depending on the configuration of the building. Tickets go on-sale Thursday, June 28th at 10AM AEST through ticketek.com.au.
