TAA ‘absolutely gutted’ as injury ends Euro 2020 dream

Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold is ‘absolutely gutted’ by the injury that ends his chances of appearing at Euro 2020.

The 22-year-old was the subject of intense debate as reports suggested he would be left out of England’s 26-man squad.

He was ultimately selected by manager Gareth Southgate but came off with a thigh injury during the 1-0 friendly win over Austria.

Speaking about the injury blow, Alexander-Arnold simply tweeted: “Absolutely gutted.”

He was omitted from the Three Lions squad for the World Cup qualification triple-header in March after a poor few months, compared to his own high standards.

But a solid season run-in with Liverpool, which saw him score a brilliant winning goal against Aston Villa, meant he received the call-up.

Southgate will now have to decide which player to bring into the fold. Jesse Lingard, James Ward-Prowse and Ollie Watkins are all in with a shout.

The 50-year-old already has Kyle Walker, Reece James and Kieran Trippier available at right-back, with Man City star Walker likely to start in the first Euros clash.

England face Croatia in their opening group match on June 13. Games against Scotland and Czech Republic follow as the Three Lions look to reach the knockout stages.

Speaking after his initial decision to include all the right-backs, Southgate said: “You’re looking at four right-backs, I just see four good footballers.

“Trippier can play at left-back. Alexander-Arnold can play at wing-back, I think he can play midfield.

“I’ve seen Reece James play on the right side of a back three, at wing-back and as a midfielder. In a tournament, those flexible players who can fulfil different roles will be hugely important.

“We don’t know how the next few weeks will play out in terms of availability and injuries, what our best system will be with the players we’ve got available.

“We’ve got too many questions marks as I sit here today, but that will become clearer. We know what we’d like to do, but we’ve got contingencies in place.”

England’s next game is a friendly against Romania on Sunday. It’s their final friendly before the tournament kicks off on June 11.

‘Credit goes to the team’ – Man Utd star Fernandes reacts to PFA news

Man Utd midfielder Bruno Fernandes insists you can only win personal accolades if your team is doing well after being nominated for the Professional Footballers’ Association player of the year award.

Manchester City star Phil Foden was also shortlisted for the main PFA player of the year award, while also being in contention for the young player prize.

Foden is one of four City players on the six-man shortlist for the main prize. Kevin De Bruyne, who won the players’ player of the year award in 2020, is again nominated, along with midfielder Ilkay Gundogan and defender Ruben Dias.

One per club: Ex-managers who should totally come back

The Portuguese, who joined City from Benfica last September, has already won the Football Writers’ Association’s Footballer of the Year award.

The other nominee for the main men’s award is Tottenham and England forward Harry Kane and Fernandes says he would happily swap individual recognition for winning silverware with Man Utd.

Fernandes, who contributed 18 goals and 12 assists in the Premier League this season, told the official Man Utd website: “If we win trophies, it is the most important thing.

“Of course, it’s good for a player to win individual awards and I will never say I don’t want to be the best player in the league or I don’t want to be the PFA Player of the Season. I want to be [that] but I want to be [that] if the team wins trophies. If the team does win trophies, for me, it’s the same.

“For me, the most important thing is to help my team-mates to also be player of the season. That’s the most important thing because, if someone from the club is player of the season, it means that we do very, very well this season.

“I think we will always be happy if someone else takes an individual award because it means the team is doing well. Nobody in football, a team sport, wins an individual trophy just doing well himself. You have to do well but you have to have the help of your team-mates to do well.

“When you have an individual trophy, of course, you are doing really well and deserve the credit but that credit goes to the team because they help you do better and better.”

 

Giroud to reject West Ham with AC Milan agreement reached

Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud is closing in on a move to AC Milan after reportedly signing a pre-contract agreement with the Italian giants.

The France striker will almost certainly leave Stamford Bridge this summer as his contract expires at the end of June.

He’s been linked with a move to West Ham to stay in the capital, but it seems David Moyes’ side have been beaten to the transfer.

Ancelotti exit sends Everton back to square one. Again.

According to Italian outlet Calciomercato (via Daily Mail), Giroud has agreed a two-year deal to join Milan on a free.

The contract is worth around £3.4million-per-season, with performance-related bonuses set to be added if he plays well and scores.

Giroud is hoping to get more game time in Italy after a tough season with Chelsea. Following the arrival of Thomas Tuchel, he was largely restricted to substitute appearances as the German preferred either Timo Werner or Kai Havertz up front.

That decision ultimately paid off for Tuchel as Havertz scored the winning goal in the Champions League final against Manchester City.

Giroud, alongside Englishman Tammy Abraham, has grown tired of sitting on the bench and will soon leave the club.

The 34-year-old, capped over 100 times by his country, is attracted by the proposition of playing Champions League football with Milan next term.

They will feature in Europe’s elite competition for the first time in seven years after finishing second in Serie A.

Giroud will likely provide cover for Milan talisman Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the San Siro.

As they’ve missed out on Giroud, West Ham could now target Abraham to fill their vacant role in attack.

They will need to stump up £40million to land the 23-year-old, who scored 12 goals in 32 appearances this season.

Leicester City are also interested as part of their search for Jamie Vardy’s long-term successor.

Aston Villa are the third Premier League side to be linked with a move. But given the form of England international Ollie Watkins, it’s hard to see Abraham moving to the West Midlands this summer.

Chelsea, meanwhile, will focus on the acquisition of a world-class striker once Giroud has left the club.

Former player Romelu Lukaku, now a top goalscorer with Inter, remains the most likely option.

Furieuse, Ayesha s’est empressée de répondre : “Excusez-moi ? Non. Juste non.“

À la suite de ce commentaire, de nombreux fans ont envoyé des messages de soutien à l’actrice qui réfléchira désormais à deux fois avant de publier une photographie de famille.

Jessica Thivenin : Enceinte, elle assume sa cellulite en bikini

Amoureux et heureux, Jessica Thivenin et Thibault Garcia partagent régulièrement des instants de bonheur à deux sur les réseaux sociaux. Emménagement à Dubaï, vacances de rêve tout autour du monde en amoureux, le couple fait rêver leurs nombreux fans qui les suivent sur les réseaux sociaux. Des photos parfaites et souvent retouchées qui créent parfois la polémique. Pourquoi ? Tout simplement parce que certains fans regrettent le fait que les réseaux ne reflètent pas la réalité.

Mais ça, c’était avant ! Le 25 mai 2019, Jessica Thivenin riposte et partage plusieurs photos d’elle en bikini au bord d’une piscine “Petit coin de paradis pour nos 2 ans ❤️” Sur ces clichés, on découvre ainsi son joli baby bump mais aussi son corps au naturel. Immédiatement, les internautes réagissent et félicitent la jeune femme : “J’adore. Elle assume. Elle a pas lissée la cellulite. On en a toutes. That’s life!”, “Merci de nous montrer vos petites imperfections qui montrent que vous êtes “humaine” comme nous.”, “Ça fait plaisir de voir aucune retouche sur la cellulite enfin quelqun qui s’assume. Magnifique.”

Jessica aurait-elle cédé à la tendance du “Celfie“? Cette tendance avait pour but d’afficher fièrement et sans complexe son corps et notamment sa cellulite. La photo doit d’ailleurs être postée un samedi, comme ce qu’a fait Jessica, avec le hashtag #cellulitesaturday, mais qui n’apparaît pas cependant sur sa photo.

Dans tous les cas, Jessica Thivenin prouve qu’elle assume son corps, et elle paraît même plus épanouie que jamais ! Interviewé par Monsieur Kuro sur Youtube, Jessica explique réfléchir au choix du prénom de son futur bébé : “C’est une embrouille ! On est pas du tout d’accord ! Thibault a un prénom dans sa tête, il lâche pas l’affaire, c’est Carmen si c’est une fille. Du coup, pour le sexe, on préfère un garçon car il est vraiment focalisé sur Carmen !”,“Moi j’aime bien Ivana, Ciara, et pour un garçon Ange. (…) On va d’abord éliminer un sexe et après on choisira un prénom.”

L’accouchement de Jessica est prévu pour la fin d’année, le couple a encore quelques mois pour se mettre d’accord…

Jungle Boy wins Casino Battle Royale at AEW Double or Nothing

Jungle Boy won the Casino Battle Royale at tonight’s Double or Nothing PPV to earn a future AEW World title shot. 

Jungle Boy last eliminated Christian Cage to win the match and the future title opportunity.

The story of the battle royale was Matt Hardy and Hardy Family Office members Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen of Private Party working together to clear the ring. The final five participants in the match were Jungle Boy, Christian, Hardy, Kassidy and Quen. 

Christian and Jungle Boy teamed up to avoid a Silly String from Quen and Kassidy on the apron, eliminating Private Party in the process. 

With Christian, Hardy and Jungle Boy the final three, Hardy implored Christian to work with him in eliminating Jungle Boy .Instead, Christian tossed Hardy. 

After Jungle Boy eliminated Christian, Luchasaurus and Marko Stunt appeared to celebrate with Jungle Boy. Christian returned to the ring after his elimination to congratulate Jungle Boy. 

No date has been set for Jungle Boy’s AEW World title challenge, but a match against the winner of tonight’s Kenny Omega vs. PAC vs. Orange Cassidy match on TV this summer appears likely.
