— The Legacy of Stone Cold Steve Austin DVD has sold 46,973 copies since its release, so it’s a huge hit for WWE.
— Rey Mysterio has been nominated for “Best Extreme Athlete” for the for the 2nd Annual “American Latino TV Awards”. The awards show is connected to the nationally syndicated “American Latino TV” and “LatiNation” series.
— Dusty Rhodes will be appearing on the May 2nd Florida Championship Wrestling event in Port Richey, FL. No official word yet on a TV debut for FCW.

— Former ECW owner Tod Gordon is retiring from the wrestling business. He helped run the Pro Wrestling Unplugged indy promotion out of Pennsylvania, but a person in his immediate family is gravely ill and he must devote all of his physical and financial resources to the person’s healthcare. — WWE’s official site has a graphic promoting the King of the Ring tournament on next week’s three-hour Raw. The eight wrestlers featured on the graphic include Chris Jericho, Umaga, Shawn Michaels, CM Punk, Batista, Big Show, Triple H and MVP. Although, the preview for the King of the Ring also notes Mr. Kennedy and Finlay, so the wrestlers featured in the graphic likely aren’t final.
— The newly launched WWE Kids Magazine was planning on including comic strips in the magazine, but the idea has been dropped. WWE hired ex-DC Comics editor Paul Kupperberg to be the Senior Editor of the magazine, but was fired for unknown reasons. According to Kupperberg, WWE believes that kids don’t read comics. — Santino Marella may be getting a bodyguard. Derby City Wrestling wrestler Al Barone is getting some tryout matches during WWE’s tour of Canada next month. Marella wants Barone to be his bodyguard in WWE.
— Shane McMahon will be heading over to Mexico when WWE tours there next month. He wants to get a feel for the economy and see how business does overall. There was talk last year of opening up various WWE territories around the world, but those talks have since died down. However, WWE still has interest in doing something in Mexico.
— Former WWE Diva Terri Runnels will be making her first appearance at a wrestling show in a few years at the 5/1 UWF show at Colonial Harley-Davidson/Buell in Prince George, VA. She will also be working the next night’s UWF show at Harrisonburg High School in Harrisonburg, VA. SadlerFoundation.org is holding an auction for fans to “manage” her at the 5/2 show, which you can see at this link.

— Indy wrestler Ken Theissen is in the running for the role as Santino Marella’s bodyguard. Theissen has done job duty for WWE in the past. The other wrestler up for the role is Derby City Wrestling wrestler Al Barone.
— Maria made the cut in the FHM’s “100 Sexiest Women in the World” online poll. Maria came in at No. 84. Former WWE Diva Stacy Keibler also made the list at No. 64. To see the complete list, click here.
— The Great Khali has been battling ongoing problems in his knees and has been struggling to get around recently, reports prowrestling.NET. Some of his colleagues believe that he needs surgery on both knees. Khali previously underwent knee surgeries back in late 2006, which put him out of action for about three months. Khali is scheduled to make a trip back home to India, so it could not have come at a better time.

Miz/Morrison beat Jimmy Wang Yang/Shannon Moore in a dark match after Miz hit the Reality Check on Moore.
Arena was sold out and lively all night.
Lilian came out to a huge pop, as did JR/King/Tazz/Foley. Mike Adamle and Michael Cole both got some heat.
Lilian sang the Anthem and got a huge pop as always for an amazing rendition. All night long the crowd was giving Cena heat, even before they started letting people in the building. Tons of “Cena Sucks” chants. They just hated him and loved when JBL/Cena got eliminated and it came down to HHH and Orton.
Shawn Michaels seemed legitimately hurt after his match. Jericho was helping him out, and two refs came down and I saw one throw up the X Symbol. He seemed to be favoring his knee.
Khali got some major heat, probably the most all night. “You can’t wrestle!” and “Khali sucks!” and “Boring” chants were heard during the match.
After the show, HHH celebrated and posed with the belt before leaving. Orton slowly walked up the rant to a rousing “Na Na Na Na, Na Na Na Na, Hey Hey Hey, Good Bye!” chant. He stopped on the ramp a few times, and then finally just left.
All in all, a pretty good show.

McMahon Announces Major Changes To WWE’s In-Ring Product At Raw >>
— The WWE Magazine Yearbook 2008 issue that was released this past Tuesday hints at a possible Randy Orton vs. Undertaker feud taking place on Raw in the near future. On Randy Orton’s page, they wrote: “With all of the top Raw talent gunning for him, 2008 will be the toughest year of Orton’s career. There are even rumors that a certain Deadman would like to come to Raw and inflict some immortal punishment on the self-proclaimed Legend Killer.”
— The WWE website has an update on the Mike Adamle walk-out situation. According to the article, they reached Adamle for comment, but he refused to discuss anything. WWE.com also added: “Speculation remains rampant in the locker room as well as in WWE offices and at WWE.com headquarters. Some believe Adamle is quitting the company. Others say it’s simply a ploy to make more money.” According to the article, they believe that Adamle’s walk-out was a result of a hostile environment at WWE events. “Superstars have not been shy about teasing the commentator about his on-air gaffes. Also, perhaps worst of all, Adamle has been greeted by shouts of “Please quit,” “You suck,” and even “Drop Dead!” from our fans in the rows closest to the announcers’ table. — There have been some rumblings about Umaga switching brands to go to SmackDown. Head Raw writer Brian Gewirtz is pushing hard to keep him. At one point, there was a plan for Umaga to go to SmackDown to feud with Undertaker.
— WWE was planning on holding a live Raw taping on Monday, June 16 at the E-Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, but due to a scheduling conflict, the event has been changed to a house show on Saturday, June 14. — Vince McMahon was said to be furious over how the Roddy Piper & Santino Marella segment came off on Raw last week. No word yet on why McMahon was so upset with the segment. Bruce “Brother Love” Prichard produced the segment and got an earful from McMahon as a result.

Former England captain Terry is currently assistant head coach at Aston Villa and Redknapp, who was in the Dean Court dugout from 1983 to 1992, believes the 40-year-old would be the perfect replacement.
“Given the opportunity, he could be a really top-class manager. If I was a chairman looking for a manager now, John Terry would be top of my list,” Redknapp told talkSPORT.
“He’s at Aston Villa, he may not be interested, I wouldn’t know what his long-term ambitions are, but I’m sure he would want to get into management.
“If you’re going to get into management, I couldn’t think of a better club to take over than Bournemouth.
“It really is a good club, well-run club, good players. It’s all there really for somebody to come in and make a big success of it.”
New Liverpool signing Ozan Kabak has revealed he is looking forward to working with his ‘idol’ Virgil Van Dijk.
The Schalke defender completed a move to Anfield on transfer deadline day.
He’s joined for the remainder of the season on loan. Liverpool have the chance to sign him permanently for £18 million in the summer.

Kabak has now opened up on his move to the Premier League, calling it a ‘dream come true’.
Speaking to the club’s official website, the player said: “Liverpool was my childhood team. So I always wanted to come to this club, to play at this amazing stadium, in front of these amazing fans.
“It’s a dream for me. Now the dream comes true.
“My target is to be a top player. I need to improve a lot. I have talent but I need to improve myself and to get some minutes, to make some games here. Then I want to be a top player, like the others.
“I think this team has a lot of top players, top talents, so I want to improve every training [session], every game and to be strong to help the team.”
When asked about the prospect of playing alongside Van Dijk, Kabak continued: “Virgil Van Dijk is, I think, the best centre-back in the world at the moment. The last three or four years he was always on his best performance.
“He’s strong, he’s fast and he’s clever. So that’s why I see him as an idol. I want to meet with him as soon as possible, to be honest.”
Kabak also spoke highly of new manager Jurgen Klopp: “I’m looking forward to working with him. He’s one of the best coaches in the world. I have heard a lot of things about him from my ex-coach David Wagner – he told me a lot of things about him.
“Like I said, I’m looking forward to working with him, to take some things from him.”
Kabak isn’t expected to play in Liverpool’s match against Brighton tonight. He could make his debut against Man City on Sunday.
