The substitutes rule could yet be amended this season with many managers, especially Jurgen Klopp, furious that the Premier League is the only major league in Europe which does not allow teams to make five changes, with only three subs permitted.
Klopp is not one of the five Premier League managers to have made the maximum number of substitutes in every game this season. Contrastingly, Pep Guardiola has chosen to make an average of only two substitutes per game.
