Title Match Announced For WWE Friday Night SmackDown On FOX This Week (11/15)

A title match has been announced for this coming Friday night’s edition of WWE SmackDown On FOX.

WWE announced today that The New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Big E., who recently won the titles from The Revival, will be defending the SmackDown Tag-Team Championships against the former champions on this week’s show.

WWE.com released the following announcement today:

The New Day and The Revival set for championship rematch

As first reported on WWE’s The Bump, The New Day’s seventh reign as Tag Team Champions is set to begin with a showdown against a familiar foe. The Revival will receive a rematch after losing to Kofi Kingston & Big E on last week’s SmackDown.

In an effort dedicated to injured teammate Xavier Woods, Kingston & Big E left everything in the ring except the titles, as the duo recaptured the SmackDown Tag Team Championship in a thrilling victory over The Revival in Manchester, England. The New Day now head back to the states set to defend their newly regained championship gold against their rivals.

WWE Touts NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool II Selling Out In Under 2 Hours, NXT UK 2020 Shows Announced

Well, that didn’t take long.

WWE announced on Monday afternoon that tickets for the NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool II live special on the WWE Network from The Empress Ballroom in Blackpool, England on Sunday, Jan. 12, at 11:30 a.m. ET/4:30 GMT.

WWE.com released the following announcement:

WWE NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool II sells out in two hours; Tickets coming soon for NXT UK 2020 shows in York, Coventry, Bournemouth and Glasgow

The excitement of NXT UK has once again been proven as the NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool II event, announced by COO Triple H on Saturday, sold out in two hours!

NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool II will emanate from The Empress Ballroom in Blackpool, England, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network on Sunday, Jan. 12, at 11:30 a.m. ET/4:30 GMT.

Now, the WWE Universe will get their opportunity to capture all the action of NXT UK when tickets for four upcoming NXT UK events become available on Tuesday, Nov. 26 beginning at 10 a.m. local time at www.ticketmaster.co.uk.

The shows will run as follows:

* NXT UK debuts in York, York Barbican – Friday, Jan. 17 & Saturday, Jan. 18.
* NXT UK Coventry, SkyDome Arena – Friday, March 6 & Saturday, March 7.
* NXT UK debuts to Bournemouth, International Centre – Friday, May 1 & Saturday, May 2.
* NXT UK Glasgow, Braehead Arena – Friday, July 24 & Saturday, July 25.

The WWE Universe in attendance for these NXT UK tapings will see all their favorite NXT UK Superstars including WWE United Kingdom Champion WALTER, NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray, NXT UK Tag Team Champions Mark Coffey & Wolfgang, Tyler Bate, Trent Seven, Jinny, Ilja Dragunov, Toni Storm, Xia Brookside, Grizzled Young Veterans and many more (talent subject to change).

Update: Xavier Woods Releases Tease For New "Feel The Power" WWE Podcast, Big E. Comments

As noted, WWE has announced the launch of the latest show to join their official WWE Podcast Network — The New Day: Feel The Power — to launch on Monday, December 2nd after the latest episode of After The Bell with Corey Graves.

Following the announcement, members of The New Day — including Big E. and Xavier Woods — took to social media to react to the big news about the launch of their own weekly podcast.

“You know how sometimes when you sit to poop, you also play on your phone until your legs fall asleep,” wrote Woods via Twitter on Wednesday. “Get a new soundtrack for those trying times.”

Woods continued, “Go subscribe, rate, and write a review on our new podcast! (Only 5 stars and nice words please).”

Roderick Strong Issues Challenge To Shinsuke Nakamura

WWE Intercontinental champion Shinsuke Nakamura took to Twitter to comment on his loss at Survivor Series where the King of Strong Style wished the match winner, NXT’s Roderick Strong, congratulations before claiming that he only won due to luck. Nakamura writes, “Congrats @roderickstrong. But it was just lucky. You’ll pay for this soon maybe. @AJStylesOrg, we’re not done yet. Anyway I was standing tall in the ring…. tallest.”

Stacy Keibler Pregnant For Third Time With Millionaire Husband Jared Pobre

A well-known former WWE Superstar is pregnant with her third child.

Former Attitude Era favorite and WCW star Stacy Keibler is pregnant for the third time with her husband Jared Pobre, according to the latest issue of People Magazine.

Keibler, 40, has been married to Pobre, an American technology entrepreneur who has a net worth of $200 million dollars, for over five years, as the two began dating in the fall of 2013 and officially tied the knot at a wedding ceremony in Mexico in March of 2014.

The happy couple currently have two children together — a five year old daughter named Ava Grace Pobre, and a 17-month old son named Bodhi Brooks (Photos Here).

Triple H Comments On End Of Shayna Baszler's Reign, Beginning Of Rhea Ripley's As NXT Women's Champion

The father of WWE’s black-and-gold brand, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, took to social media after this week’s monumental episode of NXT On USA to comment on the NXT Women’s Championship changing hands in the highly-anticipated Shayna Baszler vs. Rhea Ripley showdown.

First, “The Game” sounded off on Ripley capturing the NXT Women’s Title from “The Queen of Spades” in one of two featured World Championship matches on Wednesday night’s NXT On USA show, which also featured Adam Cole defending his NXT World Championship against Finn Balor.

“An incredible main event and a new champion,” wrote Triple H in a tweet that also included photos of himself with Ripley holding the title backstage at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida after the match. “One of the most dominant reigns over the NXT Women’s division comes to end and another begins.”

Triple H added, “Rhea Ripley will be the one to lead NXT into the new year… Congratulations. And New.”

After that, HHH chimed in with an additional tweet directed towards the former champion.

“Shayna Baszler, nearly 600 days as Champion over the last two years,” wrote Triple H. “An incredible champion who has shown the ability to bounce back from adversity.”

He concluded, “We have certainly not seen the end… Just the end of the beginning.”

Contract Signing Announced for Tomorrow's WWE Friday Night Smackdown

— WWE announced that tomorrow on Smackdown a contract signing for the Universal title match between Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan that is cheduled for Royal Rumble will take place.

Daniel Bryan is ready to tie his WWE destiny to “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt – both literally and figuratively.

Bryan and Wyatt will meet on Friday Night SmackDown to sign the contract for the Universal Championship Strap Match at Royal Rumble. After the extended mind games between the two competitors, Bryan surprised the twisted titleholder with a blindside attack last week and repaid Wyatt by taking a piece of the Universal Champion’s hair with him. Bryan went on to propose a Strap Match challenge to Wyatt, setting up a contract signing that brings together the two unpredictable combatants just two days before their title showdown at Royal Rumble.

In the 'Wild West' of Water, Nestlé Gets Free Pass to Bottle the Commons

International food giant Nestlé is striking gold in British Columbia—dubbed the ‘Wild West’ of water regulation—extracting hundreds of millions of liters of fresh groundwater each year without paying a cent.

As the only province in Canada that doesn’t regulate groundwater use, B.C. residents are calling on the provincial government to update the century-old Water Act saying that, without doing so, B.C. is ripe for such abuse. “The province does not license groundwater, charge a rental for groundwater withdrawals or track how much bottled water companies are taking from wells,” said a Ministry of Environment spokesperson.

“It’s really the Wild West out here in terms of groundwater,” added Linda Nowlan, conservation director from World Wildlife Fund Canada.

Any measurements or documentation of groundwater extraction are undergone on a “voluntary” basis by the corporation. According to Canadian paper The Province, Nestlé is extracting 265 million liters (or roughly 70 million gallons) of water each year from one well alone.

“It’s unsettling,” said WaterWealth Project campaign director Sheila Muxlow. “What’s going to happen in the long term if Nestlé keeps taking and taking and taking?”

“We have water that’s so clean and so pure, it’s amazing. And then they take it and sell it back to us in plastic bottles,” adds Sharlene Harrison-Hinds, a resident of Hope, B.C. which relies on the same aquifer being tapped by Nestlé.

Though Nestlé is the largest bottled water seller in B.C., others, including Whistler Water and Mountain Spring Water, are also tapping into the free flow of groundwater in this region.

“Outside of the fact that they are draining the size of a small lake on an annual basis without any sort of accountability,” Muxlow adds, “this is a microcosm of a larger failure with the way B.C.’s water is managed.”

Facing mounting environmental cuts and a government effort led by Prime Minister Stephen Harper to privatize all of Canada’s drinking water, citizen advocacy group the Council of Canadians is leading a movement to protect the country’s freshwater sources. Arguing that water is part of a “shared commons,” they write, “water is a human right and as such, must be protected from privatization, pollution and bulk exports.”

Aouar remains Arteta’s priority signing for Arsenal

Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar remains at the top of Mikel Arteta’s transfer wishlist for Arsenal, according to reports.

The Frenchman has been a long-rumoured target for Arsenal. He caught the eye of clubs around Europe with his performances in the Champions League last season.

He played a pivotal role as Lyon reached the semi-finals of the competition. They missed out on a place in the final by losing to Bayern Munich in the final four.

Arsenal were said to be keen to sign him during the summer. But the club were put off the deal because of his £60m price-tag.

The Gunners were unwilling to offer more than £45m for Aouar, so talks between them and Lyon inevitably fell through.

Thomas Partey had also been a long-term target for Arsenal. That deal looked unlikely to happen until they activated his £44.5m release clause on deadline day.

The Londoners concluded the deal in time and Partey has performed well for them since joining. Despite this, Arteta clearly has his eyes firmly set on Aouar.

A report has emerged from The Athletic, as cited by The Daily Mail, which suggests that the midfielder still tops the list of Arsenal’s transfer targets.

He has played eight times for Lyon in Ligue 1 so far this season, and he has two goals and one assist.

The report adds that Arsenal are also keen to sign a new centre back. David Luiz, Sokratis and Shkodran Mustafi are all out of contract in the summer.
