He put a ring on it!
John Cena just proposed to longtime girlfriend Nikki Bella at WrestleMania 33. The proposal took place after the couple defeated The Miz and his wife Maryse during a tag team match.
John and Nikki have been together for about five years, and the couple’s relationship has been well documented on Total Divas and Total Bellas.
During an April 2016 episode of Total Divas, Nikki wished John would propose to her.
“You guys, John finally told me on our three-year anniversary that marriage doesn’t bother him anymore, he wants to marry me, he wants to be married to me,” Nikki told her friends.
She then gushed, “I want him next to me my whole life. I can’t live without him.”
Last January, Nikki underwent neck surgery and was in a brace during last year’s WrestleMania. Now, she’s in the middle of a major comeback and she’s engaged!
What a difference a year makes!
Congratulations to the couple!

Impact Wrestling star Alberto El Patron has directed several rants over the past few days on Periscope at the WWE, Triple H and “haters” of his relationship with injured WWE superstar Paige, but he continued to draw attention Sunday in his latest session by claiming the WWE has attempted to get him to return to the promotion.
During a fan question and answer he was conducting, El Patron was asked if he was worried about burning bridges with the WWE over the past few days. El Patron seemed unconcerned in his response.
“I don’t plan on going back there, it’s them already calling me to go back to that company, but I’m not going back ever, ever, ever. I’m too happy being out of that place. It was me quitting that place, not staying in that place and not wanting to stay, even after they did everything to try to keep me in that company, I said, ‘no, I don’t want to be there.’”
A WWE report announced Tuesday that the announce teams for both Raw and SmackDown Live will also be affected by the “Superstar Shakeup.”
Byron Saxton will be moving to Team Blue, while David Otunga will head to Raw. The WWE.com report states that the move is effective immediately.
“Obviously we saw a lot of changes on Raw, and I guess I’m one of those changes,” Saxton told WWE.com moments after Raw concluded. “I’m gonna miss Michael [Cole], I’m gonna miss Corey [Graves] — well maybe not so much Corey — but you know what? I’m going to be positive about this. This is a great opportunity. Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan always say SmackDown LIVE is the land of opportunity, I’m ready to seize it. I guess I’ll wear more blue now.”
The “Superstar Shakeup” will continue tonight at 7 p.m. on SmackDown Live from the TD Garden in Boston.
Former SmackDown Live Women’s Champ and new addition to the Raw women’s roster Alexa Bliss discussed her Harley Quinn look, love of comic books and villains, and goal of claiming both women’s title belts in a year during a recent interview with Yahoo Sports.
Here’s what Bliss had to say about her look:
“I’m such a villain fan. I love comics, I love anything Disney – everyone knows that about me, I’m a big Disney fan – anything that’s fictional, I’m a huge fan of. It all started with Iron Man in NXT. [Buddy] Murphy [Bliss’s real-life fiancée] had the idea of us all three [Bliss, Murphy and Wesley Blake] dressing up as Iron Man and I thought it was such a cool concept, such a cool idea, that I just kept going with it. I have a few characters left that I haven’t portrayed yet, I have a few more coming that I have the outfits for that I’m just waiting to perfect them. I did go a little non-villain at Elimination Chamber when I wore Superman, which was a lot of fun. I just like portraying characters but making it my own. The Harley Quinn thing I was really excited about. I was so bummed because when I left NXT, I thought I couldn’t do the cosplay thing anymore. My last gear in NXT was Freddy Krueger because I’m such a horror movie fan, it’s ridiculous, but I thought when I went to the main roster it would be a whole different ball game. I kind of ran with the Harley Quinn thing, I said I was going to try it anyway and say sorry after [if it didn’t work], but it got a great response and that gave me the freedom to do more.”
Here’s Bliss on her plans for Raw:
“A year from now I hope that I have been able to become Raw Women’s Champion. I would love to be able to hold both titles within a year, I think that would be an awesome opportunity. I’d really like to see our women in the main event at WrestleMania. I know it’s kind of considered a future thing and no one knows if it’ll ever happen, but in my mind, it’s going to happen and hopefully within a year. Hopefully in a year I’ll be women’s champion and have taken this division by storm.”

Matt and Jeff Hardy were able to compete in The House of Hardcore event in Philadelphia, PA – albeit in limited fashion.
According to reports, WWE went back-and-forth on the idea of even letting the Hardys appear at the indie event. They first were not allowing it, then agreed but only if there was no wrestling/physicality involved. That is why on Friday evening, Matt appeared but did not participate in any sort of wrestling.
For Saturday’s event, it seems WWE had a last minute change of heart. Tommy Dreamer cut a promo before the match saying that he got a call from WWE earlier in the day, giving the Hardys permission to wrestle and if it wasn’t for them, this match wouldn’t be happening. He went on to say he owes WWE a favor.
The match itself ended up very safe and quick, with the Hardys winning in fairly short order.
Apparently actor Vin Diesel didn’t care much for reigning UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley’s thoughts regarding a fantasy fight between himself and fellow “The Fast And The Furious” franchise star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
“The Chosen One” recently spoke with TMZ Sports (see video below) and told a story about Vin Diesel approaching him at a party to address some comments he had made about a potential Vin Diesel-Rock street fight.
“Vin Diesel yelled at me yesterday at the party because I said in a fight versus him and The Rock, I gave it to The Rock,” Woodley said. “So he pulled up on me. Not in a violent way but he said ‘come on man, I would flex on The Rock.’”

As mentioned before, Brock Lesnar will be returning to WWE this summer to defend his Universal Championship at the inaugural Great Balls of Fire event. Rumors have been running wild about who may be facing Lesnar for the title at the event, but it looks as though we may have an idea of what’s to come. It looks likely that Braun Strowman and Finn Balor respectively will be challenging for the title in the upcoming months.
Braun Strowman defeated Roman Reigns at Payback this past weekend, and is now expected to face Roman Reigns one more time. They will likely fight in an ambulance match at Extreme Rules in May, a match that Strowman is rumored to win. Braun will then move on and face Lesnar for the title at Great Balls of Fire. WWE planted the seeds for this match when the two of them had a confrontation in the ring on the Raw after Wrestlemania last month. While it could make for a hard-hitting, fun battle, Brock Lesnar is expected to retain the title in this match.
Later in the summer, Brock is scheduled to face Finn Balor. Balor has been asking for a chance to fight Lesnar on television recently, some may remember that he was forced to vacate the title due to injury and never got a rematch for the belt. In the meantime, Balor will be feuding with Bray Wyatt, but it seems that WWE is just stalling until the summertime. “The Demon King” against Brock Lesnar is a big match that will likely be saved for a major show like SummerSlam in August. It’s worth noting that WWE is sticking to their plans to have Roman Reigns face Lesnar for the belt at Wrestlemania next year.
After weeks and weeks or rumors and speculation about Chris Jericho’s WWE status, it appears that he is now finally gone. On the most recent edition of Smackdown, Chris Jericho faced Kevin Owens in a rematch for the United States Championship, and he was defeated just two days after winning the belt at Payback. After the match was over, Jericho was attacked by Kevin Owens with a chair. This was done to write Jericho off of television for the next few months or so. Jericho thanked his fans on Instagram with the following statement: “No….thanks to all of you! You are my buddies, my pals; you are the #FRIENDSOFJERICHO…Cheer me on maaan! #seeyouagain #GOAT”
Chris Jericho is now officially gone from WWE, and Kevin Owens will be moving on to a feud with AJ Styles for the US Title. Jericho will be keeping himself busy, however, as he is expected to begin touring with his band Fozzy. He also recently released a new single entitled ‘Judas’, and is expected to be working on a new album with his band. Fozzy will embark on the ‘Judas Rising Tour’ on May 5th and the tour is expected to run through late July. In any case, his run with WWE has definitely come to a close for the foreseeable future.
Chris Jericho has been a fan favorite and a consistent highlight since returning to WWE back in January 2016. Jericho was never meant to be around as long as he was in his latest run; instead he kept signing contract extensions each month. The result was what some fans have called the best run of Chris Jericho’s entire wrestling career. Jericho did add that he will “see (the WWE Universe) again.” It’s unclear if he will return shortly after his tour is over, or if we’ll have to wait a bit longer to see him back in WWE. Unfortunately, no one will be making the list for many months to come.
President Donald Trump spent more than two hours at Walter Reed National Medical Center on Saturday for medical tests, which Mr Trump says were "great".
The appointment wasn’t on Trump’s weekend public schedule, and his last physical was in February. Press secretary Stephanie Grisham said the 73-year-old president was "anticipating a very busy 2020" and wanted to take advantage of "a free weekend" in Washington to begin portions of his routine checkup.
She did not specify which tests he’d received or explain why the visit had not been disclosed in advance. Mr Trump’s 2018 and 2019 physicals were both announced ahead of time and appeared on his public schedule.
Mr Trump tweeted: "Visited a great family of a young man under major surgery at the amazing Walter Reed Medical Center. Those are truly some of the best doctors anywhere in the world. Also began phase one of my yearly physical. Everything very good (great!). Will complete next year."
Ms Grisham said after the visit that the president had had "a quick exam and labs".
"The President remains healthy and energetic without complaints, as demonstrated by his repeated vigorous rally performances in front of thousands of Americans several times a week," she said.

Mr Trump also spent time at the hospital meeting with the family of a special forces soldier injured in Afghanistan. And he visited with medical staff "to share his thanks for all the outstanding care they provide to our Wounded Warriors, and wish them an early happy Thanksgiving," Ms Grisham said.
It was the president’s ninth visit to the hospital since taking office.
Walter Reed spokeswoman Sandy Dean said the hospital does not comment on patients who receive care at the facility and referred questions to the White House.
Mr Trump’s last checkup in February, 2019 showed he had gained weight in office. At 243 lbs and 6ft 3in tall, he passed the official threshold for being considered obese, with a Body Mass Index of 30.4.

That checkup, which was supervised by Dr. Sean P. Conley, his physician, took more than four hours and involved a panel of 11 specialists.
"I am happy to announce the President of the United States is in very good health and I anticipate he will remain so for the duration of his Presidency, and beyond," Conley wrote afterward.
Test results were released six days later, showing that Mr Trump weighed 243 pounds – up seven pounds from September 2016, before he became president.
A Body Mass Index rating of 30 is the level at which doctors consider someone obese under the commonly used formula. About 40 percent of Americans are obese, raising the risk for heart disease, diabetes, stroke and some forms of cancer.
Mr Trump doesn’t drink alcohol or smoke, but is known to enjoy fast food, steaks and desserts. His primary form of exercise is golf.
Saturday’s test came as House investigators on Capitol Hill were interviewing a White House budget official as part of the impeachment inquiry. Trump has insisted he did nothing wrong.
