Vote for wrestling in important Inside the Games poll about which sport should be in the Olympics

USA Wrestling and FILA are asking the wrestling community worldwide to assist in an important poll about which sport should be in the Olympic Games.

Inside the Games, a leading Olympic website, is asking a simple question. Which sport do you think the IOC should vote to include on the Olympic programme for 2020?

Wrestling is up against two other sports for the final provisional sport spot in the 2020 and 2024 Olympics. Wrestling must beat out squash and the combined baseball/softball bid. The IOC General Assembly will vote on this on September 8.

Earlier this year, Inside the Games did a similar poll with the eight candidate sports prior to the IOC Executive Board vote for the shortlist of sports for the Olympic program. At that time, wrestling won the poll with 42.2% of the vote, and a total of 102,388 votes. This time, we have two opponents for the poll, and we need to defeat them both once again.

IT IS IMPORTANT FOR WRESTLING TO WIN THIS POLL. PLEASE TAKE TIME TO GO TO THIS WEBSITE AND VOTE!!!

Please go to this link to vote:
http://www.insidethegames.biz/polls/75-which-sport-do-you-think-should-be-part-of-the-olympic-programme-for-2020

Please be patient if the website does not respond on your first try. There is a large volume of votes coming from all over the world. We ask that you make sure to vote TODAY and VOTE OFTEN, and SHARE this with your friends within wrestling.

Wrestling is now in THIRD PLACE, with just 18.4% of the early vote. We need to catch up and get ahead right away. We’ve done it before and can do it again. PLEASE VOTE RIGHT NOW AND HELP WRESTLING REMAIN IN THE OLYMPICS.

WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka passes away

WWE is saddened to learn that WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka has passed away.

Snuka is regarded by many as the pioneer of high-flying offense because of his Superfly Splash from the top turnbuckle. His dive off the top of the steel cage onto Don Muraco at Madison Square Garden as hundreds of flash bulbs went off will forever live as one of the most memorable moments in WWE history.

WWE extends its condolences to Snuka’s family, friends and fans.
