What Happened Before & After SmackDown Live Went On & Off The Air

Last night’s episode of SmackDown Live emanated from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas and was the Fallout Show of last Sunday Night’s WWE Survivor Series. Before SmackDown Live went on the air, the dark match saw the team of WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne and Mark Andrews defeat the team of Tyler Bate and Trent Seven.
The dark main event after 205 Live went off the air saw the team of WWE Champion AJ Styles, Bobby Roode and Shinsuke Nakamura defeat the team of Rusev, Jinder Mahal and United States Champion Baron Corbin.

News on Current Plans for Next Year’s Dual Branded MITB PPV

It was previously reported that WWE’s Money in the Bank PPV has now become a dual branded PPV and with Money in the Bank now being billed as a major show and being part of the “big four” due to the PPV having talent from both brands, the expectation is that there will likely be two MITB matches and possibly as many as four.
It remains unclear whether that would mean separate MITB Matches for RAW and SmackDown or whether all the talent will be combined into one MITB Match for men and another one for women. While nothing has been decided at the moment, the talk has been to have dual branded matches and perhaps even a third match which will have the tag teams compete in.
Another issue that hasn’t been decided upon is whether Money in the Bank, which is being held in Chicago next year, will be a four-day affair. Which is similar to what is happening with other major PPVs lately to have NXT, the MITB PPV itself, RAW and SmackDown in the same city and in the same venue.

Latest on Wrestlemania Main Event, Kane News, Otunga Legal Update

Wrestlemania is just around the corner already, so it is time to once again begin speculating what the card will look like. However, the rumored main event for the inaugural show has been common knowledge for weeks now. Ever since Roman Reigns defeated The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship, some outlets have speculated that the rumored Universal Championship main event match between Reigns and Brock Lesnar may have been changed. Per Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio program, that is not the case, and Reigns vs. Lesnar was still the planned main event as of one week ago. The belief is that Reigns will drop the Intercontinental Championship beforehand.
Kane recently returned to WWE television and has been working a program with Braun Strowman ever since. Their feud continued last night when Strowman attacked Kane with a steel chair after defeating Jason Jordan and Finn Balor. Since last night’s Raw took place in Tennessee, the state where he is actively running for mayor, Kane’s night was not finished after being attacked by “The Monster Among Men.” Kane (aka Glenn Jacobs) shared a photo of himself after Raw partying and meeting with over 500 friends. Kane is currently continuing to run for mayor in the 2018 election while he is also on the road with WWE once again.

David Otunga and his wife Jennifer Hudson recently announced that they would be splitting up after Hudson brought on some serious accusations against Otunga. Hudson filed an order of protection against her ex-husband, and the two have been battiling for custody over their son, David Jr. TMZ has updated the situation between Hudson and Otunga, revealing that David is now the primary custodial parent and he will remain as such until a formal custody agreement has been reached. Otunga will not be moving back into their home, but Hudson has officially dropped the order of protection against Otunga. As of now, he is still suspended by WWE with no word on when he may be back.

Key Figure In Hardy Boyz’ Broken Universe Resurfaces On Twitter

With the video from his match on Raw and clues being planted on his social media account, Matt Hardy is letting the WWE Universe know that his “Broken Universe” which was over with fans in other promotions is soon coming to the WWE.
On Wednesday, another tweet popped up hinting that Matt is broken again. Hardy’s loyal gardner, Senor Benjamin, tweeted in Spanish a message that translates to “They called me?”

The Rock Topples A Lot Of Cereal Boxes

It is being reported that several days ago, The Rock spearheaded a Guinness World Record-breaking move as he did it for charity.
The record that he has broke is that of “Most Cereal Boxes toppled Domino Style” as he was able to get 3,006 boxes of cereal together thanks to his Seven Bucks Digital Studios. Thanks to his crew, the boxes were lined up domino style, along with a few other add-ins for fun. The best part about this is that all the boxes of cereal were donated to the Los Angeles Midnight Mission to help feed the homeless people in the Los Angles area.

As explained in the video, The Rock is a fan of the Guinness World Records and this was all his idea. To make it official, the boxes need to be publically available and not altered in any way. Of course, the actual brands of the cereal are not shown or said during the video, but some of those boxes do remind me of Trix, so who knows what they ended up using in all. Hopefully, there are some hungry people who wouldn’t mind a little bit of sugary goodness and get a filling meal.

Of course, this begs the question, Where are you gonna get that much milk?

Backstage Update on if Chris Jericho Will be at WrestleMania 34

It appears to be that Chris Jericho will not be appearing at next year’s WrestleMania 34 which will be on April 8, 2018. Jericho has recently posted Fozzy’s schedule on Instagram, and the final date of the tour will be on the day of WrestleMania at Wally’s in Hampton Beach, NH.
Jericho appeared at the last two WrestleManias, defeating AJ Styles at WrestleMania 32 and dropping the U.S. title to Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 33.
Jericho is scheduled to face IWGP U.S. Champion Kenny Omega at NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 12 PPV Event on January 4th, 2018 at the Tokyo Dome in what is currently a one-shot deal. It will be his first match outside of WWE since 1999, when he left WCW to sign with WWE. Jericho recently told Jim Ross on The Ross Report that he informed Vince McMahon about his match with Omega before it was announced. Below is what Jericho told Jim Ross:

“Not to get into specifics, but [Ross] know[s] how smart I have been throughout my career and [Ross] know[s] the relationship I have with Vince that I would never jeopardize that or give him any nasty surprises, so I’ll just leave it at that,” Jericho said. “And like [Ross] said, I think in the back of his mind, no matter how much [pro] wrestling fans sometimes like to lionize Vince, or whatever the word is, kind of think that he’s this big evil, manipulative guy, I think he appreciates the fact that when the business is healthy, I think that he knows that it’s better for his business as well, so for Chris Jericho to go to New Japan, I mean, everybody knows that I’m a WWE guy. That’s just the way it is. I have been for 17 years, but this is a once-in-a-lifetime dream match, per se, with a lot of money at stake. And, for me to not pursue that I thought would have been a crime. And I think Vince felt the same way. As I said, the timing of this is perfect.”

Gainesville Police Release Report On Rich Swann’s Arrest

WWE has officially suspended Rich Swann indefinitely after his arrest for battery and kidnapping/false imprisonment of an adult.

The official statement for WWE stated: “WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence, and per our policy, Rich Swann has been suspended indefinitely following his arrest.”

The Gainesville, Florida police department has released their police report regarding the situation and these details.

“On the above date and time at the above location the Vic and Def were engaged in an argument. Both the Vic and Def are professional wrestlers and the Vic had just put on a show at 8 seconds in downtown Gainesville. The Def was critiquing the Vic’s performance and began getting angry with her. The Vic got scared that the argument was going to escalate and got out of the car in the area of 2400 SE Hawthorne Rd. The Def stopped his vehicle in the middle of traffic and the Vic jumped out. The Def gave chase and yelled for the Vic to get back in the car. The Vic told the Def she did not want to get back in the car as she continued to walk away. The Def then grabbed the Vic by her arm and then around her neck with his arm. He placed her in a headlock and dragged her back to their vehicle. The Vic screamed for help as the Def pushed her in the car.

Wit 1 observed this happen and called LEA. Wit 1 said that she saw the Def chase after the Vic and put her in a headlock and shove her back in the car while she screamed for help. Wit 1 said that the Vic was beating on the window screaming for help as they drove away again. Wit 1 said that the Vic seemed very afraid of the Def and was trying to get away from him.

Wit.2 observed the vehicle driven by the Def driving erratically in the area of 1500 E University Ave. Wit 2 saw the Vic jump out of the vehicle while it was moving and run away. Wit 2 saw the Def get out of the car while it was still moving and chase after the Vic. The car was not in park and continued to roll until it hit a telephone pole on the corner of NE 15th St and E University Ave.
The Vic stated that she was afraid of the Def because he has a temper sometimes. She said she was trying to get away from him because she was scared that their argument would escalate into physical violence. The Vic said that the Def grabbed her by the arm and pulled her back into the car even though she did not want to go with him. The Vic said she told the Def to pull over so she could get out but he refused to do so and she ended up jumping out while the vehicle was still (slowly) moving.
Post Miranda the Def stated that he did not grab the Vic and put her in the car. The Def stated that she got in the car on her own and he never physically touched her. The Def said he was just trying to get home and she had the phone with the GPS on it so he needed her to come with him.

The Vic and Def have been in a relationship for approx 5 years and have been married for 9 months.”

What Happened After RAW Went Off The Air

RAW last night emanated from the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. After RAW went off the air, there was no dark main event. After the match between Braun Strowman and Kane ended the Double Count Out with Braun Strowman putting Kane through a table, Braun stood tall as RAW went off the air. Strowman continued to pose before heading to the back as Kane was helped out by officials.
