New Day on Owens’ Betrayal, The Club Reunion, Big E’s New Job

During last night’s episode of SmackDown, Kevin Owens attacked The New Day’s Kofi Kingston. Owens was made an honorary member of The New Day after Big E went down with an injury, but the true motives for joining the group were revealed yesterday: he wants a shot at Kingston’s WWE Championship. Kingston commented on the attack by saying that Owens will have “hell to pay” for what he decided to do to him. Woods took to Twitter to express his feelings on the former Universal Champion following the attack. Big E then added that Owens is a “parasite” before writing that he wants to return and face the man himself for what he did to his two best friends. Expect Owens and Kingston to face off very soon.

Sometimes you feel compelled believe in someone and give them a chance, even when no one else will. As unpopular a decision as it may seem at the time, you give them the benefit of the doubt…And Then that person proves everyone right. Mark my words, there will be Hell to pay.

KO is the parasite in the system that desperately clings on to its host for life. Once its sucked all of the nutrients it can out of its host, it seeks another. I only take pleasure in knowing the virus has been detected & @TrueKofi & @XavierWoodsPhD will stomp out the organism.

My greatest joy will be returning in time to stomp the life out of the already lifeless roach myself.

AJ Styles was moved to Raw as part of the Superstar Shakeup while Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows are still both on SmackDown. However, Anderson is keeping the idea of reuniting The Club alive. Anderson took to Twitter to post an image of himself, Styles, and Gallows from when The Club was originally formed in WWE back in 2016. Styles, Gallows, and Anderson are obviously close friends going back to their Bullet Club days in New Japan Pro Wrestling, but perhaps they will team up together in a WWE ring again at some point. Anderson and Gallows are said to be leaving WWE later this year, so maybe one last big tag team match with “The Phenomenal One” will be taking place in WWE sooner rather than later.

SmackDown competitor Big E is currently out of action with an injury. Although he isn’t able to wrestle alongside his friends Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston right now, the former NXT Champion is still keeping himself busy with a different job right now. In an interview with Comicbook.com, Big E said that he is working on the show “Lazor Wulf” on Adult Swim. The show premiered back on April 7th and also features the voice talents of rappers D.R.A.M. and Vince Staples. Big E said that Adult Swim loved his voice and wanted him to be part of the show. As a fan of other Adult Swim programs like “The Boondocks,” Big E could not turn down the offer. He added that the job has been a perfect side-gig since he received his injury.
“I just got a call from our office at WWE talent relations. They told me, ‘Hey, the guys from Adult Swim from this project Lazor Wulf called and wanted you to be part of it.’ A lot of times, stuff like that we’ll try to do out own and just reach out and so stuff like this.” Big E said.
