1) C’est le visage de la grève d’iTélé

Alors que la chaîne iTélé connaît la grève la plus longue de l’histoire des médias privés en novembre dernier (31 jours), Antoine Genton est la figure du rassemblement contre l’arrivée de Jean-Marc Morandini et contre la ligne éditoriale de Vincent Bolloré. Il est alors le président de la société des journalistes d’iTélé, le porte-parole de ces collègues en grève.

2) Il allie élégance et professionnalisme

Outre le fait d’avoir été gâté par la nature et d’être toujours classe et et bien rasé, Antoine Genton est un journaliste humble et discret qui ne révèle pas ses opinions politiques. Dans le portrait écrit par Jérôme Lefilliâtre paru chez nos confrères de Libération, ses collègues confirment : « Antoine est un timide, ce n’est pas quelqu’un qui se lâche et qui critique », témoigne Vincent Josse de France Inter, « il est tiré à quatre épingles, costume impeccable, barbe taillée. On retrouve cette élégance dans ces mots », ajoute Hervé Béroud, le patron de BFM-TV.

3) Un parcours sans faute, ou presque

Antoine Genton grandit à Nancy, entouré d’une mère institutrice, d’un père dirigeant d’entreprise dans l’agroalimentaire et de deux frères et soeurs. Antoine suit une prépa littéraire mais échoue deux fois au concours de l’Ecole normale supérieure. Il décide alors d’entrer au Centre universitaire d’enseignement du journalisme de Strasbourg (Cuej). Cela lui ouvre les portes de France Bleue Alsace, France Info, France Inter, RFI, iTélé. Il travaille aujourd’hui pour Explicite le nouveau média lancé par des anciens d’Itélé, et présente une chronique d’actualité tous les samedi à 19 heures dans C l’Hebdo. Le seul défaut que l’on pourrait lui trouver c’est d’être en couple depuis trois ans.

Le film de SF “Transcendance” avec Johnny Depp, détaille en plusieurs vidéos son univers sombre. L’opposition entre les terroristes anti-technologie et ceux qui désirant créer un ordinateur doté d’une pensée autonome s’annonce violente.

Si l’opposition “homme contre machine” vous effraie, Transcendance sera votre pire cauchemar ! Avec deux vidéos virales et une nouvelle bande-annonce, le film de SF de Wally Pfister (dont c’est le premier long-métrage) présente un monde glauque à l’ambiance tendue. Le film, qui sort le 4 juin prochain sur nos écrans réuni un beau casting avec Johnny Depp, Rebecca Hall, Paul Bettany, Morgan Freeman, Kate Mara et Cillian Murphy.

Jean-Marie Bigard est l’heureux papa de jumeaux, fruits de son amour avec la comédienne Lola Marois. Mais avant leur naissance, l’humoriste a eu une autre enfant, quatre ans plus tôt avec sa première épouse ; un fils qui vit à présent avec sa mère au Brésil.

Jean-Marie Bigard sait plus que quiconque la souffrance de vivre sans parents, lui qui a perdu à l’âge de 20 ans sa mère emportée par un cancer du pancréas. Une « catastrophe monumentale » à laquelle avait succédé un autre drame, un an plus tard : l’assassinat de son père dans sa maison, à coups de couteau, par un bûcheron, ex-compagnon de la femme qui partageait sa vie depuis quelque temps.

C’est dire si l’humoriste a pratiqué la résilience pour parvenir à bientôt 63 ans (il les fêtera le 16 mai prochain), à incarner son plus grand rôle, celui de père. Une paternité dont il rit dans ses sketchs en évoquant notamment sa vie aux côtés de ses jumeaux Jules et Bella nés en 2012, fruits de son amour avec Lola Marois. Deux enfants qui, on le sait moins, ont un grand-frère. Car avant de construire une famille avec la comédienne de 34 ans, Jean-Marie Bigard a aimé Claudia, dix-huit ans durant, avec laquelle il a tout fait devenir père ; la jolie Brésilienne ayant eu recours à onze fécondations in vitro.

Une histoire achevée dans le respect et la bienveillance au point même, alors qu’il était déjà en couple avec son seconde épouse, d’accepter de donner sa semence à sa première : « À 46 ans, son état de santé était critique et avoir un enfant pouvait lui sauver la vie. C’est ce qui s’est passé. Mais après la naissance de Sasha, il était primordial pour moi de clarifier la situation en divorçant. Sasha a sauvé sa mère et m’a libéré », avait ainsi confié l’humoriste dans nos colonnes.

Mais depuis Claudia est repartie vivre au Brésil, laissant Jean-Marie Bigard sans possibilité d’entretenir une relation père et fils en bonne et due forme. Heureusement la technologie permet lui permet d’entretenir le lien : « Je fais mon mea culpa. Comme il vit avec sa maman au Brésil, je le vois essentiellement par Skype. », vient d’expliquer le comédien dans le nouveau numéro de Voici à paraître demain. Un entretien dans lequel il indique que les retrouvailles sont pour bientôt « dans dix jours » : « C’est un petit bonhomme de huit ans, tellement beau et intelligent! J’ai très envie de le prendre dans mes bras. Ma valise est pleine de cadeaux pour lui. » Reste que Sasha ne parle qu’une langue et ce n’est pas le français : « Il le comprend, mais je crois qu’il n’a pas envie d’apprendre une langue pour parler avec une seule personne : son père. (rires)».

Jurgen Klopp will urge his Liverpool side to be “unpredictable” as they look to overcome a tough trip to Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham.

Liverpool are currently 13 points clear at the top of the Premier League table as they look to end their long wait for a Premier League title.

They face one of their toughest tests of the season on Saturday when they travel to Spurs who, despite struggling in the league this term, they faced them in the Champions League final last year.

On what to expect from Tottenham without Harry Kane, who has been ruled out until April, Klopp told reporters: “Very good organised side, putting emphasis on defending. The team is too good technically to only do that. They have a lot of players in midfield who can create situations.

“It’s a home game for them, that usually they would try and create and get a result. We cannot be sure what they will do but we can think about what he (Mourinho) did against us at Manchester United.”

Klopp added: “We want to be unpredictable so we have to be unpredictable in this game.

“We have to make things that they cannot prepare for.”

 

Harry Maguire could make a surprise return for Manchester United in their Premier League clash with Norwich on Saturday

Maguire suffered a hip injury in last weekend’s FA Cup draw with Wolves and there had been reports he could be sidelined for several weeks, but United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insisted the problem is not serious.

The Norwegian said: “He’s got a chance for tomorrow. It’s a minor thing. I don’t know where the reports are coming from. You might have mistaken him for Harry Kane. He’s going to go through training today and see how he reacts for tomorrow.”

Solskjaer expects to see a reaction on Saturday following the disappointment of Tuesday’s 3-1 defeat by Manchester City at Old Trafford in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final.

“Of course you’re disappointed when you lose a game against your local rivals,” he said.

“But which way is there to go? Do you feel sorry for yourself or do you knuckle down and get ready for the next one?

“One of the worst traits a footballer can have is feeling sorry for himself. The boys have been focused. It’s been a disappointing feeling because we know that wasn’t the game we wanted but that’s football and I’m sure we’ll get a reaction tomorrow.”

 

Pep Guardiola reportedly slammed his Manchester City side after the Carabao Cup derby – despite their easy 3-1 win at Old Trafford.

City were 3-0 up against Manchester United at the break and could have scored more in a totally dominant first-half display, but their manager was angry that his side took their foot off the pedal in the second half, and made his feelings know to the players.

While he praised some individual performances he was not happy with the team as a group for letting United off the hook, reports The Sun.

The City boss was looking exasperated on the touchline at times during the second period on Tuesday night despite his side looking comfortable.

United were completely lost in the first half as Guardiola played two false nines in Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva.

City could easily have been five up by the break which is why Guardiola was annoyed they did not go on to make the scoreline more comprehensive in the second-half.

City travel to Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday, sitting 14 points behind Liverpool, who have a game in hand.

 

Manchester United have changed their mind over making a move for Juventus midfielder Emre Can, according to reports.

Can is one of two midfielders United were understood to be considering signing, alongside Newcastle’s Sean Longstaff.

Former Liverpool star Can has struggled for opportunities in Italy, starting two of 18 Serie A games and failing to be named in their Champions League squad.

Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici said this week that Can wouldn’t be for sale in the January transfer window and reports in Italy claim Man Utd have now pulled out of a deal for the Germany international.

Tuttosport (via Sport Witness) claims that United ‘have changed their decision’ on signing Can, while the player has also decided against a move.

Can doesn’t want to spoil his good relationship with Liverpool fans and both parties are now agreed that a transfer won’t happen.

Despite Paratici’s comments this week, the report adds that Can could still leave Juventus this month if they receive an offer of at least €30m with Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich still interested.

Callum Hudson-Odoi claims he was never “close to leaving” Chelsea, but admits to having mulled over the option of linking up with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

Back in the winter transfer window of 2019, a move to Germany became a distinct possibility for the England international.

With regular game time in short supply under Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge, Bayern readied big-money bids for an exciting teenage talent.

All advances were knocked back, with Chelsea making it clear that they had no intention of parting with another promising academy graduate.

That show of faith in Hudson-Odoi was eventually rewarded when the 19-year-old committed to a lucrative new contract, with the youngster now in a position to reflect on a “rollercoaster year”.

“I was talking about it with the family and thinking, ‘I just want to play games,’ and at that moment I wasn’t playing enough,” Hudson-Odoi told The Sun on the interest shown by Bayern.

“I wouldn’t say I was close to leaving but it was on my mind. What happened in January happened. But I signed my contract and I’m happy here now —  everything is going well.

“It’s been a rollercoaster year. A lot of things have happened which made me learn and think about stuff. I just needed to get back, be confident, be myself, score, assist — and show what I can do.”

Hudson-Odoi, with only 48 club outings to his name, concedes that he is still learning as a senior professional.

The exit talk, along with a serious Achilles injury, has forced him to grow up quickly, but he claims to be a better player and person for those experiences.

“I’d say I’m grateful — I feel fortunate with what has happened,” added Hudson-Odoi.

“The injury is an experience that you learn from because I didn’t know about these things before.

“It happened to me for the first time. And the transfer request taught me about that kind of situation.

“The England thing, the Champions League debut, and a change of manager has taught me a lot. So I would say ‘experienced’ is the word.

“I’m much more mature now, it’s made me wiser.   It makes me think everything has happened for a reason — so I should be grateful and give thanks to God.

“There are times when I sit back and think to myself what a crazy 12 months it has been. Good or bad, everything happens for a reason. So you have always got to be grateful.”

Hudson-Odoi was back among the goals in his most recent outing – a 2-0 FA Cup win over Nottingham Forest – and is hoping to play a more prominent role under Frank Lampard over the remainder of the 2019-20 campaign.

Gareth Bale has no interest in leaving Real Madrid for MLS during the winter transfer window, claims his agent Jonathan Barnett.

The Wales international forward continues to see an imminent move away from Santiago Bernabeu mooted.

Several landing spots have been speculated on for the 30-year-old, with interest said to be held by sides around the world.

Talk of a return to the Premier League for the former Tottenham star is never far away, with Manchester United considered to have held long-standing interest.

It has also been suggested that a second spell at Spurs could be taken in, with Jose Mourinho having kept those rumours ticking over by steering around questions on the subject.

The latest reports have linked Bale with a switch to America, with a completely fresh start potentially appealing to a man who continues to attract criticism in Spain.

David Beckham’s new Inter Miami franchise remain in the market for marquee additions, while the LA Galaxy are looking for another big name to fill the void created by Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s departure.

Barnett has, however, told ESPN that his client will not be considering any advances from the States.

No departure from Madrid is expected to be made this summer either, with it considered to be “very unlikely” that the next window will deliver a change of scenery.

That is because Bale remains tied to a contract with Real through to 2022.

It has appeared at various stages as though that agreement would be broken, with the Blancos prepared to cash in on a saleable asset.

No deal has been done, though, and the Welshman remains part of Zinedine Zidane’s plans.

Injury and illness has kept Bale on the sidelines for long periods once again this season, with just 14 appearances made as a result.

He has come back into favour when fit, having previously been frozen out, but has contributed only two goals to the collective cause.

Those struggles, along with ongoing questions of his commitment and apparent reluctance to fully integrate into the Madrid squad, have kept the rumour mill ticking over.

It would, however, take a sizeable bid to prise Bale away from Real and Barnett’s latest comments can be considered another clear indication that nobody will be piecing together a suitable transfer package any time soon.

Michèle Laroque aurait pu ne jamais monter sur les planches des théâtres… Alors qu’elle brille actuellement sur scène aux côtés de son acolyte de toujours Pierre Palmade et de Muriel Robin dans la pièce Ils s’aiment depuis 20 ans, elle a confié un secret surprenant sur sa vie privée.

La comédienne pétillante de 56 ans se livre sur son passé dans une interview donnée au magazine Télé 7 jours. Souriante, équilibrée et épanouie, Michèle Laroque ne s’est pas débrouillée toute seule : « J’ai eu des parents extraordinaires. […] Ils m’ont donné des points d’appui qui m’aident toujours », confie-t-elle. D’origine roumaine, sa mère a subi la dictature de Ceausescu dans les années 70 et a tenté de fuir, elle « a été condamnée quand elle s’est échappée […] j’ai moi-même été suivie par la Securitate [police politique communiste, NDLR]. On a essayé de m’enlever » a-t-elle révélé au magazine.

Michèle Laroque s’est battue pour sa liberté. Aujourd’hui, elle fait rire et émeut son public lorsqu’elle foule les planches des théâtres. Elle innove cette année en invitant son amie Muriel Robin à jouer avec elle Elles s’aiment, une variante de son sketch avec Pierre Palmade, pour prôner la tolérance à l’égard des couples homosexuels. Le show sera diffusé sur France 2 samedi 7 janvier à 20h50 en prime time.
